Family events in Cumberland, MD

RHS is offering small horsemanship camps on select Saturdays this fall. Tailored for ages 6 to 12, each three-hour session introduces participants to horses in a hands-on, enjoyable setting. The fee is $80 per person, and at least four participants are needed for a session to run.

Celebrate Halloween with the Grantsville PTO at an annual trunk or treat to start the evening, followed by free crafts hosted by the PTO, hot dogs provided by the Grantsville Lions Club, and hot cocoa from Highland Thrift Shop. The night wraps up with a Minions & Monsters movie screening in the park. All activities are free thanks to the Grantsville Elementary PTO.

An open playtime in the children’s play area at the Frostburg Library invites toddlers to explore toys, flip through books, and enjoy coloring activities while meeting new friends. Caregivers can connect with one another during this casual gathering. No registration is required, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
