Hope Village Farmers Market

The Hope Village Farmers Market is a weekly hub where people of all ages come together around fresh, healthy food and local culture. To help sustain this vital community space, a new fundraiser has begun. Getting the word out is especially helpful in these early stages, and donations of any size support keeping the market welcoming and accessible for everyone.

Storytime with Shelter Dog-osaurs

This weekly summer storytime pairs kids and books with adorable shelter dogs dressed like dinosaurs at the Detroit Public Library’s Edison Branch. A librarian reads a story, then children who wish to can read aloud to the visiting adoptable pup, building reading confidence while giving the dog positive social time. The series is free, no registration is required, and children should attend with a parent or guardian. A complimentary collectible bookmark is available each visit, with a new design offered each week.
