Young explorers can dive into a relaxed sensory play session with lots of loose parts to tinker with and transform. Children are encouraged to imagine and create, turning everyday pieces into their own pretend toys. This experience is geared toward ages 2 to 5. A caregiver must remain with each child and supervise throughout the activity, and please be aware that some materials may include small pieces.

Teens 13 and up can play Smash and Mario Kart on the library-owned Switch. The session provides an opportunity to game with others who are interested in playing.

This seventh annual fly-in and camp out at Brighton Airport (45G) features flight-focused activities, live musical performances, and other highlights. A full schedule and additional information are available on the event website.

The event features a bonfire and open gym with a basketball free throw competition open to all ages. Both hoops on the full court will be in use so there is plenty of space. The soccer field, volleyball court, and gaga pit will be open, and three sets of cornhole boards will be set up near the pavilion. A fleet of bicycles will be available for rides around the 10 acres, including mountain bikes in a range of sizes for all age groups. Please bring your own drinks, finger food snacks to share, and lawn chairs. The entire facility, including the church, pavilion, and gym, is accessible, with accessible restrooms in both the gym and church buildings.

The Meridian Township Farmers' Market runs throughout the year and features vendors offering fresh ingredients, specialty foods, and artisan crafts, with most items grown or made locally within the state. Hosted by Byron Fireworks Friends, this community car and tractor showcase marks the 21st year for cars and the second for tractors. Participants can register in advance or on arrival, with a $15 fee for pre-registration and $20 for same-day sign up. The first 50 registrants receive dash plaques, and more than 20 trophies will be awarded. Event shirts celebrating America’s 250th and the Byron Fireworks Car and Tractor Show are available to pre-order with pre-registration. Families can enjoy music, food, kids games, and a children’s barrel tractor ride sponsored by Hudson Mills Old Power Club. Awards will be presented as part of the festivities.

B's Mud Farm presents a mud bog focused on pit action for serious builds. Because of pit conditions and crowding, only dedicated mud trucks are allowed and street stock vehicles are not permitted. Any vehicle entering the pits must arrive and leave on a trailer, and a six inch strap is required. In the small tire pit, helmets are mandatory for quads and for anything without a protective cage. The spectator area is off limits to vehicles. Food will be available from What’s up Dawg, serving hamburgers and hot dogs, and B’s merchandise will be on hand. For safety and courtesy, do not bring dogs or glass, do not drink and drive, no underage drinking, and do not bring three wheelers, dirt bikes, or politics. Admission is $20 per person, with free entry for children 12 and under. Payment is cash only.

Returning to the Fowlerville Family Fair and Fowlerville Agricultural Society, this twenty-fifth year celebration features spooky entertainment with a costume contest, a pinebox derby, and a bustling marketplace of vendors indoors and outdoors. Surprises are planned throughout to mark the milestone year. Spectator admission is $2. Participating hearse drivers and their passengers are admitted at no cost, and children 16 and under enter free. Vendor registration forms will be posted as they are completed, with updates shared regularly. A day on the greens at Willow Brook Golf Club benefits the Greater Durand Area Chamber of Commerce. Highlights include golf, raffle prizes, a 50/50 drawing, hot dogs at the turn, and dinner to close the day. Argentine Church of the Nazarene hosts a free southern gospel concert featuring Souls Harbor, with a voluntary love offering received during the event. Previously slated to feature Adam’s Voice, the program now showcases Souls Harbor and is part of the Stella Heavner Memorial Concert Series. Souls Harbor is a trio from Southeast Michigan made up of Ron Brown on baritone, his son David Brown on tenor and lead, and David’s wife Joy Brown on lead. The group’s roots trace back to the early 1990s family ensemble Tri-State Quartet. After that chapter closed, Souls Harbor formed in 2000 with Ron and David. Following a few changes in the tenor role, Joy joined after she and David married in 2005, creating the lineup heard today. In recent years, the trio has expanded its reach by releasing music to radio, with several songs charting with DJs across the country. Performance highlights include appearances at the National Quartet Convention’s Artist Showcase, Dollywood’s HarvestFest, The Biblical Times Theatre in Pigeon Forge, and the God & Country Theatre in Branson. They also champion southern gospel in their region, bringing well-known groups such as the Mark Trammell Quartet, The Whisnants, Greater Vision, Tribute Quartet, and The Perrys to Southeast Michigan for two decades. Their focus is for listeners to leave feeling they have been in a worship service rather than at a fair, reflecting the heart of their ministry.

Vibology offers a recurring Moon Circle aligned with each new and full moon. Each circle has a unique focus, and all are welcome. Participants learn a ritual tailored to the lunar phase and receive a goodie bag that includes an incense stick, the ritual, and often additional information or goodies.
