    Weekly LBP Party Ride!

    Lansing · Lansing Bike Co-op, 1715 E Kalamazoo St

A weekly Friday ride sets out from Lansing Bike Co-op for a laid back, lively spin around town and nearby areas. Expect roughly 15 to 20 miles at a conversational pace around 10 to 12 miles per hour, with occasional stretches closer to 13 to 14. Riders should be reasonably fit, have a reliable bike, and feel comfortable with bumpy city streets and some climbing. Routes are shared during the week. The group typically rides for about an hour, pauses for a social break, makes a stop for food and beverages, then heads back. Because the evening often wraps up after dark, lights are essential, and a light jacket helps once temperatures drop. Boombox music and a little bell ringing are welcome. Bring water, snacks, basic tools, and a spare tube. The ride emphasizes safe, courteous group riding, respect for neighbors and drivers, following the leader, staying together, and avoiding sudden surges, drifting off the back, stopping in the roadway, or startling others. Rides may also take place on other days in different formats, and they typically roll when it is at least 40 degrees with decent conditions.
