Hosted by GenRight Off-Road and Mickey Thompson Tires, this Jeep and 4x4 gathering at Scooter's Bar & Grill creates a family-friendly setting for good food and easy conversation. Stroll among the vehicles, connect with fellow enthusiasts, and take part in prize drawings. Scooter's will offer specials on food and drinks during the event. Parking on the hill is encouraged, and everyone is asked to be respectful of the property.

Downtown Owosso comes alive with a community art walk that highlights creativity across many forms. Downtown businesses showcase local and regional artists, while live music fills the streets. Food trucks serve a variety of bites, and games add an extra layer of fun for all ages. The Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest makes a colorful return, transforming sidewalks into open air galleries. This celebration of art, music, food, photography, literature, sculpture and craft is presented by Downtown Owosso merchants and volunteers with support from sponsors including the Shiawassee County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Cakey Cakes and Bagels, Murtle’s Chocolates and Kori Shook & Associates.

The event features a bonfire and open gym with a basketball free throw competition open to all ages. Both hoops on the full court will be in use so there is plenty of space. The soccer field, volleyball court, and gaga pit will be open, and three sets of cornhole boards will be set up near the pavilion. A fleet of bicycles will be available for rides around the 10 acres, including mountain bikes in a range of sizes for all age groups. Please bring your own drinks, finger food snacks to share, and lawn chairs. The entire facility, including the church, pavilion, and gym, is accessible, with accessible restrooms in both the gym and church buildings.

Hosted by Byron Fireworks Friends, this community car and tractor showcase marks the 21st year for cars and the second for tractors. Participants can register in advance or on arrival, with a $15 fee for pre-registration and $20 for same-day sign up. The first 50 registrants receive dash plaques, and more than 20 trophies will be awarded. Event shirts celebrating America’s 250th and the Byron Fireworks Car and Tractor Show are available to pre-order with pre-registration. Families can enjoy music, food, kids games, and a children’s barrel tractor ride sponsored by Hudson Mills Old Power Club. Awards will be presented as part of the festivities.

Uncle John’s Cider Mill hosts a two-day Keepsake Collection arts and craft show alongside favorite fall traditions. More than 125 juried makers and exhibitors present seasonal items, distinctive goods, jewelry, clothing, and other finds, with face painting adding extra fun for kids. Tractor-drawn wagons carry visitors between the craft area and the apple barn. Food trucks, sweets, and snacks are available. The mill also features a corn maze, pumpkin and sunflower fields, a bakery, a taproom, a children’s play area with a jumping pillow, and live music. Guests can watch the cider mill in action and browse the gift shop. Suitable for all ages.

The Shiawassee River Players present a program for one evening that revives the stories of historical figures from Owosso’s past. Tour guides lead a walk through the cemetery where attendees meet prominent former citizens and hear how their lives helped shape the present. This is a theatrical walking experience. Tickets are $20 at the gate. Please dress for the weather and for walking.

Enjoy a weekly Pokémon TCG Constructed tournament featuring best of three matches. The number of rounds depends on turnout, and entry is $6. Every participant receives a Pokémon prize pack plus a pack from Perfect Order, Chaos Rising, or Pitch Black, subject to availability. In addition, one pack of the next main set, Delta Reign, is added to the bounty pool for each event entry. When the bounty season concludes, the top trainers split that pool, with first place receiving 50 percent, second 30 percent, and third 20 percent.

Sarah is hosting an evening playdate at Wiswasser Park with her two boys. Families can bring kids, friends, and even dinner, then relax and connect with other moms in a friendly setting.
