Create a 6" x 6" heart nightlight at Stallings Stained Glass for $49 per person. All glass pieces are pre-cut, so no cutting is required. Choose from a selection of colored, textured, or iridescent glass and add glass nuggets for extra sparkle. Learn how to wrap each piece with hobby lead, then solder everything together to finish your project. No prior glass experience is needed, and all materials are included. Downtown Owosso comes alive with a community art walk that highlights creativity across many forms. Downtown businesses showcase local and regional artists, while live music fills the streets. Food trucks serve a variety of bites, and games add an extra layer of fun for all ages. The Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest makes a colorful return, transforming sidewalks into open air galleries. This celebration of art, music, food, photography, literature, sculpture and craft is presented by Downtown Owosso merchants and volunteers with support from sponsors including the Shiawassee County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Cakey Cakes and Bagels, Murtle’s Chocolates and Kori Shook & Associates.

The event features a bonfire and open gym with a basketball free throw competition open to all ages. Both hoops on the full court will be in use so there is plenty of space. The soccer field, volleyball court, and gaga pit will be open, and three sets of cornhole boards will be set up near the pavilion. A fleet of bicycles will be available for rides around the 10 acres, including mountain bikes in a range of sizes for all age groups. Please bring your own drinks, finger food snacks to share, and lawn chairs. The entire facility, including the church, pavilion, and gym, is accessible, with accessible restrooms in both the gym and church buildings.

B's Mud Farm presents a mud bog focused on pit action for serious builds. Because of pit conditions and crowding, only dedicated mud trucks are allowed and street stock vehicles are not permitted. Any vehicle entering the pits must arrive and leave on a trailer, and a six inch strap is required. In the small tire pit, helmets are mandatory for quads and for anything without a protective cage. The spectator area is off limits to vehicles. Food will be available from What’s up Dawg, serving hamburgers and hot dogs, and B’s merchandise will be on hand. For safety and courtesy, do not bring dogs or glass, do not drink and drive, no underage drinking, and do not bring three wheelers, dirt bikes, or politics. Admission is $20 per person, with free entry for children 12 and under. Payment is cash only.

Instruction covers wrapping each glass segment in copper foil, soldering seams for clean, smooth lines, and finishing the outer edge with a lead U-came to give it a crisp frame and added strength. You will also learn how to clean your piece and apply patina and polish for a refined finish. All materials are included, along with the use of professional tools. No prior glass experience is required, and participants must be 16 or older.

The Shiawassee River Players present a program for one evening that revives the stories of historical figures from Owosso’s past. Tour guides lead a walk through the cemetery where attendees meet prominent former citizens and hear how their lives helped shape the present. This is a theatrical walking experience. Enjoy a weekly Pokémon TCG Constructed tournament featuring best of three matches. The number of rounds depends on turnout, and entry is $6. Every participant receives a Pokémon prize pack plus a pack from Perfect Order, Chaos Rising, or Pitch Black, subject to availability. In addition, one pack of the next main set, Delta Reign, is added to the bounty pool for each event entry. When the bounty season concludes, the top trainers split that pool, with first place receiving 50 percent, second 30 percent, and third 20 percent.
