The 6th Annual Nine on Nine Concert Series brings free outdoor performances to Schiffer Park in Downtown Ferndale, presented by Downtown Ferndale and the Ferndale Arts & Beautification Commission. Attendees often arrive early to enjoy special activities, browse nearby shops, pick up a carryout meal, and sip a PATIO Zone beverage before settling in for live music. The lineup spans country, Motor City blues jazz, Celtic, global electronic selections with a vinyl swap, alternative bluegrass, swing rockabilly, jazz fusion, rock pop, and 60s surf, featuring McKayla Mae Prew, Urban Muse, Detroit Celtic Ramblers, Raedy Lex, Libby DeCamp with her quartet, The Hi-Views, ChromaSynthesis, The Tread Lightlies, and The Volcanos. Select dates include extra happenings such as Ms. Megan’s Music Makers for families, Vinyl Day with the Ferndale Library’s information station and details on its circulating record collection, Book Day with story time and a community book swap hosted by Love & Other Books, and Doggie Day with Poodle & Co. plus a guided walk with the K9 Turbo team to Maestro’s Dog Haus. A casual drop in jam session hosted by Pursell Lutherie also adds to the community spirit. After the music, many concertgoers continue the fun at nearby businesses, with The Corner Bar and Detroit Axe offering music bingo and a relaxed chance to meet the performers. Admission is free and dogs are welcome.

Cliff Bell’s Big Band presents jazz big band interpretations of Radiohead’s music. The program is offered twice in one night. Dinner service is available before the music, with early seating for the Dinner & a Show option and a separate seating window for the second performance.

Mon Laferte brings the Femme Fatale Tour to The Fillmore Detroit. All ages are welcome. Supporting performers may change. Ticket access includes a general public onsale along with presales for Citi cardmembers, Live Nation, Spotify, the artist, and VIP packages, plus a separate VIP package onsale.
