At Heritage Park in Frankenmuth, the Frankenmuth Fire Arts Festival spans two days with demonstrations that showcase the art of working with fire, interactive workshops, artisan and maker booths, music performed live, and activities for families. Artists create in real time while attendees take part in hands-on sessions and browse offerings from vendors, all within an energetic atmosphere centered on heat-fueled creativity.

Downtown Midland welcomes Post Fontaine to wrap up this year’s Commons Live Music Series. Music will take place on the Pedestrian Plaza Stage. Post Fontaine is a West Michigan variety band known for a rich sound and engaging performances. Formed in 2018, with the current lineup coming together in 2023, the group features musicians with notable individual careers who blend experience and passion across rock and diverse influences. With additional surprises and activities to discover, this immersive celebration welcomes fans of all ages, from devoted comic readers to gaming enthusiasts and families seeking a playful day out.

Adoption Option Inc. presents a free community gathering that celebrates connections across Midland as part of Neighboring Week. Families can browse booths from area vendors and businesses, enjoy baked treats with seasonal flavors, sip cider and other refreshments, and choose from a variety of food trucks. Children can bounce and play with family activities, and caregivers can access child car seat safety checks. Community organizations will share helpful resources, with additional activities planned. Attendance is free and open to all.

The route covers roughly one to two miles over uneven ground in low light, so dress in dark clothing and bring a flashlight. Participants will meet at the Visitor Center. Admission is free. Recommended for ages 9 and older, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
