Melodies on the Mississippi brings live music, local vendors, and food trucks to the Target Stage at Harriet Island Regional Park. Traditional Irish music fills Waldmann’s taproom as part of the Late Night Irish series. Organized with the help of Brian Miller, an accomplished guitarist, bouzouki player and singer, each installment features a diverse lineup of regional traditional Irish musicians. Miller has toured in North America and Ireland with Bua, Danny Diamond and other groups, performs with Northern Shores and Two Tap Trio, teaches at the Center for Irish Music, and has received Minnesota State Arts Board grants for research into Irish influenced music of Midwestern lumberjacks. He also writes the Northwoods Songs blog and hosts the weekly Shamrock Shore program on Jazz88.fm. Rooted in the Twin Cities tradition of lively Irish sessions supported by the Center for Irish Music and Celtic Junction, the series keeps the music going late into the night and Waldmann keeps the doors open as long as the tunes continue.

Leavin’ Page Town returns to the Frontier Saloon at the Minnesota State Fair for live country music at a popular fairgrounds hangout. This long-running spot is known for cold drinks, great food, and a laid-back crowd that enjoys live tunes. Several bars serve craft brews and frozen specialty drinks along with classic fair favorites, making it an easy place to meet friends and take in the spirit of the Great Minnesota Get-Together. The band brings a country and Americana set built around songs and stories, blending original material, tight harmonies, and familiar favorites that move from intimate songwriter moments to high-energy numbers. The performance is included with fair admission.

The New Feral Cats bring a blend of blues, rock, and R&B to Admiral D's Waterfront Tavern in White Bear Lake. Attendees can enjoy the patio’s waterfront views while taking in the music. There is no cover, and food and drinks will be available.

A farmers and makers market is also offered on select nights for even more to explore. The series is hosted by two partners: Invisible Wounds Project, which supports veterans, first responders, and their families, and History Cruizers, which continues a classic car community tradition spanning more than three decades.

The Friday night car show in North St. Paul, hosted by the Invisible Wounds Project, gathers classic and custom vehicles for a community-focused evening filled with music, markets, and car culture. Enjoy live music from The Star Chiefs, browse a farmers and makers market, and find food vendors spread throughout the event area. Each show highlights a different Car Club of the Night. A sponsor and information hub will be available, along with first aid. The event also supports mental health and wellness initiatives serving veterans, first responders, and their families. Volunteer staff in high-visibility shirts or safety vests will be on site to help. Participants and spectators are asked to be considerate of local businesses, residents, volunteers, and fellow attendees, to avoid arriving hours early to occupy business parking, to follow all applicable laws, and to refrain from open alcohol consumption. Please do not park on sidewalks, boulevards, or in no-parking zones. Dogs are welcome but must remain leashed with a maximum length of six feet. These gatherings are rooted in cooperation, connection, and fun while celebrating every facet of car culture. Made possible through collaboration with the City of North St. Paul, local businesses, volunteers, sponsors, and community members, they support the local community and create a welcoming summer evening for everyone.

This two day K-pop convention fills the Saint Paul RiverCentre with performances, dance showcases, fan panels, shopping, and photocard trading, creating a lively community atmosphere. Fans from across the Midwest gather to celebrate the music, fashion, and creativity of K-pop under one roof. After a sold-out debut in 2025, it returns bigger than before for a memorable weekend focused on connection and fandom.

Woodbury Days brings the Minneapolis Sound to the stage at Ojibway Park with Jordan Johnston and the Elevation. An R&B and pop vocalist, Johnston has performed on the main stage at Paisley Park and has opened for Stokley, former frontman of Mint Condition, as well as Lyfe Jennings. Drawing on influences like Prince, Usher, and Michael Jackson, he pairs soulful vocals with energetic, catchy melodies. He is joined by a band whose members have toured nationally with Richard Marx and Cameo, worked with Grammy-nominated reggae groups, and collaborated with Flyte Tyme Productions. The set spans funky, upbeat grooves and smooth soul.

Wren + Wilde bring their smoky folk sound to Woodbury Days at Ojibway Park. This Minnesota folk band, led by Hilary Yoder and Beth Olivares, blends close harmonies with a rugged Americana vibe to create music that feels raw and resonant. Reflective writing and candid storytelling shape each song into an intimate exchange, with lines and melodies that linger well after the music ends. Listeners who appreciate sincere, soulful folk will find this performance especially rewarding.

An easygoing evening of live acoustic sets unfolds on the patio. Happy hour is offered, and a prime rib special is available for $30. Razz is the featured performer.

High & Mighty returns to the Woodbury Days stage at Ojibway Park with a horn-driven, dance-ready headlining set. Recognized with multiple Minnesota Music Awards, this Twin Cities group is known for an energetic mix of funk, R&B, and retro pop that keeps crowds moving. The performance features a tight horn section and seasoned vocalists with roots in the Minneapolis Sound.

Grand Oak Opry presents an intimate evening with Kaatwalk, a Twin Cities singer songwriter known for candid, heartfelt lyrics and a stripped back sound. Influenced by storytellers like Brandi Carlile, Phoebe Bridgers, and Joni Mitchell, her songs draw on lived moments and everyday emotion. Her growing catalog includes Monster, Rum in Your Coffee, Peace of Mind with Walking Phoenix, Falling on Deaf Ears with Dirty Hymns, Stop the Rain, Can’t Be Alone, and Open Your Eyes, with an EP titled A Week in June. There are no tickets. A $15 donation per adult is requested, and all proceeds go directly to the artist. No one is turned away for inability to pay, and larger contributions are welcome. Seating is available on a first come basis. Please bring a chair or blanket and any food or drinks you like, including adult beverages. Restrooms are available onsite. Animals are not permitted. Biking is encouraged, with space available in the yard for bikes. If you drive, be mindful not to block neighbors’ driveways. Ukrainian Village Band returns to the Minnesota State Fair with three upbeat sets of Ukrainian music. Performances take place on the International Bazaar stage, featuring lively melodies and rhythms that celebrate Ukrainian culture.

Tap into the city’s blues spirit at a live jam led by Hall of Fame musician Moses Oakland. Presented as Monday Blues with Moses Oakland, this event offers an evening of powerful, heartfelt blues performed live.

Learn foundational hand drumming in a relaxed drop-in class led by Bettie. Designed for first-time players and anyone refreshing core skills, this session focuses on building confidence and enjoying some of the most approachable percussion instruments. No prior experience is required, and drums are provided. Participation is limited to women and gender expansive folks. The fee is $15 per person per class. Registration is available, and walk-ins are welcome. Please confirm with the Women’s Drum Center if a session falls on a holiday and to connect with the instructor. To protect the studio floor, plan to remove street shoes upon arrival. You may bring slippers or indoor-only footwear, and a limited supply of clean socks is available to borrow. The center is in a basement space reached by one flight of stairs.
