Form a team of four for an 18-hole scramble that benefits the Princeton Fire Relief Association. Teams must register as a foursome at $100 per golfer, totaling $400 per team, and registration is non-refundable. Entry includes breakfast to start the day and a drink token for each player. On-course contests feature closest-to-the-pin, longest drive, and longest putt, with awards for first, second, and even seventh place. Expect fun hole games, sponsor activities, a 50/50 raffle, and additional prize opportunities, plus a silent auction with items available to bid on. The atmosphere is relaxed and lively, and all proceeds support the association’s work in the community. Spots are limited, and there are opportunities for sponsors, silent auction donations, and volunteers.

Learn how prairie sugar, also called sorghum molasses, was made and why it became a valued sweetener during the Civil War when cane sugar was scarce. Activities include stripping leaves from sorghum canes, feeding the canes into a horse powered press to draw out the juice, and stirring the boiling juice as it thickens into molasses. Finish with a taste of molasses confections such as gingerbread and molasses candy.

The free, family-friendly 31st Annual Wildlife Festival celebrates the wildlife of Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge. The 13th annual charity car show from Lakeside Cabinets features a family friendly lineup of vehicles across seven classes, along with music and a food truck, in partnership with Thumbs Up to support mental health and suicide prevention. Attendees can vote for their favorite entries, and class winners will be chosen by popular vote. Fundraising activities include a 50/50 drawing and several prize raffles, with thousands of dollars in prizes such as custom cornhole boards awarded to three winners. Explore the trails and support a meaningful cause at the Annual Ride & Hike For Hope, where all proceeds benefit Kanabec County Kick Cancer To The Curb. The scavenger hunt is $20 per person for ages 13 and up, and children 12 and under participate for free. Complete the hunt and submit your game card for a chance to win cash prizes of $150, $100, or $50. Meals are available for $8, with $1 waters throughout the day. Multiple wagon rides are planned, and later the live auction, raffles, and music will be held at Tower Bar in Ogilvie. Camping is available for all.
