Hosted at Timberton Golf Club, the Family YMCA’s golf outing raises funds for programs that benefit families, adults, and kids across the Hattiesburg and Petal area. Participants spend a day on the course while supporting opportunities for learning, personal growth, and community well-being.

Now in its third year, Eagle Epic returns to the Accelerator trailhead in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Riders can take on 3-hour or 6-hour challenges, with categories that include 3-hour solo, 6-hour solo, 6-hour DUO, a one-lap junior option, and a 3-hour eBike category.

The Mississippi State Championship Armwrestling Tournament brings competitors to Brewsky's for a stacked slate of matches across multiple divisions. Spectators can attend for free. The lineup includes open and amateur weight classes, dedicated women’s divisions, and separate Masters and Grand Masters categories. Youth classes will be created on site for those interested, and an Ultra Grand Master group for ages 70 and up will also be built on site. PAL Legends, kids, and Ultra Grand Masters compete at no cost. Special vendetta matchups will be announced. Early weigh-ins are available at Patio 44 Restaurant next to the venue, and there is no clothing allowance. Officiating is handled by Sean Boom Hancock, Rance Clayton, Tim Bresnan, Mike Fontenot, and Clint Breland, with brackets managed by Brad Mann. Brewsky's offers a concert-style setting with lighting, lasers, a DJ, a full bar, and a full food menu.

Buzzing for the Playground Golf Tournament brings the community together to raise funds for a new playground for students. Teams can register to participate, build a roster, and prepare for a day on the course in support of this cause. Every registration, sponsorship, and share moves this effort closer to creating a new play space for children.

Cool off at the fourth annual Rodney Richardson Water Run at Town Square Park. This family friendly event features a 5k and a 1 Mile Fun Run that wind through the historic neighborhood in Downtown Hattiesburg, with super soakers along the route and a refreshing spray from the Hattiesburg Fire Department at the finish. The course concludes at Town Square Park. All proceeds support Ddembe Ministries, an orphan, widow, and family care ministry in Jinja, Uganda. Registration is available for runners and volunteers.

Expect lush vocal blends and a compelling stage presence that transcend simple imitation, capturing the essence and allure that helped establish Fleetwood Mac as a defining force in rock.

NAMIWalks is a nationwide fundraising walk that directly supports the mission of NAMI. More than a single stroll, it has become a nationally recognized movement and a warm gathering of individuals, families, and communities united by a shared goal of expanding mental health support and understanding for everyone. The impact is powered by participants and supporters alike, with the combined efforts of walkers, team leaders, sponsors, and volunteers showing the strength of community at every event. NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the largest grassroots mental health organization in the United States, dedicated to improving the lives of millions of people affected by mental illness. In Mississippi, ten regional NAMI affiliates with trained volunteers deliver peer-led programs that serve local communities.

The 5th Annual Fuel to Fight Cancer brings the community together to expand access to treatment by easing the cost and logistics of getting to care. Created in 2022, the effort raises awareness and funds to help patients receiving treatment at the Forrest General Cancer Center with dependable transportation so appointments are not missed or delayed. All proceeds are dedicated to transportation assistance for those in need. What began as a 5K now offers options for a wide range of participants, including the original 5K, a 2-mile walk, and, in recognition of year five, a new 5-mile run. A free Kids Fun Run starts the morning in The Healing Garden, making it welcoming for families too. Registration includes race entry, bib, T-shirt, and refreshments, along with chip timing and live, virtual results. Age divisions include under 10, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and older. Awards for the 2-mile walk will be presented to the top five finishers overall. Packet pickup is available prior to the start. Donations to the Fuel to Fight fund are accepted by mail through the Forrest General Healthcare Foundation with “Fuel to Fight Fund” noted on the check, or online by selecting Fuel to Fight through the foundation.

Thomley’s Fall Market brings together popular farmers market vendors and a wide range of craft vendors, making it easy to get a head start on Christmas shopping. There will be live music, glass and pottery demonstrations, and food from Hattiesburg. The market is packed with activities throughout the day.

Homecoming continues with an after party for the USM versus LA Lafayette game, featuring live bands and a DJ. Stonefish starts the music, then SHIFT follows with a party-focused mix built on 90s favorites and sprinkled with 80s and 2000s hits. Jellyfish is a welcoming peer support space for LGBTQIA+ youth in grades 6 through 12. For over five decades, the Grammy-winning guitarist, singer, and songwriter has been a defining voice in American roots music, celebrated for soul-drenched vocals, expressive guitar work, and personal songwriting that moves easily among blues, soul, rock, and R&B. Born in Georgia and raised in Washington State, he drew early inspiration from the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix before building a legacy that includes millions of albums sold, five Grammy Awards, induction into the Blues Hall of Fame, and the Americana Music Lifetime Achievement Award. Jellyfish is a peer support group for LGBTQIA+ youth in grades 6 through 12. The group is led by a social worker who identifies as LGBTQIA+, offering a welcoming space to share experiences, receive support, and connect with others who relate to their identities.

At this guild meeting at Pine Belt Quilters, the program spotlights the stories stitched into family quilts. Participants may bring a favorite heirloom or vintage quilt and share its background, from who made it to any repurposed garments pieced into its design, along with the memories associated with it. Bringing a quilt is optional, and guests can simply appreciate the craftsmanship on display while listening to histories shared by the community.

Thomley’s Holiday Market features an expanded lineup of vendors, bringing back favorites along with many new options. Shoppers can enjoy live music, watch live glass and pottery demonstrations, and grab some food while browsing. It is a festive place to shop local and check off the Christmas list.
