Early Explorers welcomes young children to discover science through interactive activities created for preschoolers. Knowledgeable educators guide the experience, nurturing curiosity and supporting learning for kids and their caregivers. Members attend at no additional cost, and non-members may participate with regular paid admission. Capacity is limited and admission is allocated in order of arrival.

The Smelter City Scamper is a community-focused race and fundraiser supporting food access and the Anaconda Community Market. Runners, walkers, families, and kids can take part in options ranging from a half marathon through a 5K and a one-block kids sprint. The races all start and finish at Kennedy Commons, with packet pickup the evening before and awards on race day. For 2026, it’s a cupless race, encouraging participants to carry their own hydration, though cups will still be available on course during the transition.

A prehistoric-themed day of adventure invites Cub Scouts, elementary-age children, and their families to explore dinosaurs through hands-on games, crafts, STEM challenges, outdoor activities, and fossil digs. Participants can learn about prehistoric creatures and enjoy Scouting activities with a dinosaur twist, offering discoveries for every young adventurer. The event welcomes current Cub Scouts, new families interested in Scouting, and youth entering Kindergarten through 5th grade. Space may be limited. The Silver Bow Card Show brings a community trading card event to the Mother Lode Theatre in Butte, Montana. With more than 75 tables available for vendors, collectors can expect plenty to explore. Admission is free for the public. Vendors may reserve a table to sell.

Participants can learn more about feeding and general baby care, connect with other moms for encouragement, and talk about returning to work and pumping. A different speaker each month covers topics such as infant massage and maternal mental health. Light snacks are provided. The session is free, lasts one hour, and takes place monthly.
