To prioritize rider safety, the BBQ and the opening ceremony have been relocated to Main Street Park in East Helena. The 13th annual Montana Ride to Remember is a 183 mile memorial motorcycle ride from East Helena to West Yellowstone along US 287, the POW/MIA Memorial Highway, honoring and raising awareness for prisoners of war and those missing in action, with special recognition for the 53 Montanans who remain unaccounted for. Participation is open to individuals and clubs, and non motorcycle vehicles may take part while lining up behind the support vehicle for rider safety. A valid registration and a $20 fee per motorcycle are required to participate regardless of where a rider enters the route. Safety and respect are central throughout, with experienced riders leading the group and newer riders following, and personal vehicles traveling at the back of the pack. The ride proceeds in all weather. An opening ceremony at Main Street Park is followed by a safety briefing and a group departure with a law enforcement escort out of town. Two fuel and rest breaks are planned, at the I 90 interchange near Three Forks and in Ennis where fuel is available and the rest stop is at the school. A closing ceremony takes place at West Yellowstone Pioneer Park immediately after the ride, with street tacos served by the West Yellowstone Senior Center. The BBQ at Main Street Park features a 50/50, a silent auction, and merchandise, and is alcohol free. Ride patches, a 2026 rocker, T shirts, and other items are available for purchase.

Attendees are welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy an outdoor theater experience with friends. Seating is unassigned and available in the order of arrival, and guests using taller chairs are asked to sit farther back so those on blankets or in low chairs have a clear view. A pre-show presentation is planned, with details to be determined, so arriving early is encouraged. If weather is unfavorable, the performance moves to the Loafing Barn at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. This event is hosted by the Boulder Arts Council. The 50th running of the Mount Helena Run features a 5.6 mile, 9 kilometer course that begins on historic Last Chance Gulch in downtown Helena. The route quickly transitions from city streets to mountain trails in Mt. Helena City Park, climbing 1,300 feet from the starting line to the top of Mt. Helena with views of Helena, Prickly Pear Valley, and the Elkhorn and Belt Mountains. After reaching the summit, the course descends back to the finish on Last Chance Gulch.

On-site packet pickup will be available. Sun Run swag goes to the first 200 people who register, and kids 12 and under can sign up at no cost.

A public philosophy experience that looks at the role of art in everyday life unfolds at the Ming Opera House/Shriner's Temple. The program blends live music from local musicians, storytelling, performance, visual art, and community dialogue with guest artists and scholars. It invites participants to feel the power of art to transform and to reflect on how creativity relates to virtue and human flourishing. Act 1 features an interactive showcase by local musicians and performance artists, presenting three mash up sets paired with imagery, dance, and narration, with threads of art, history, and philosophy woven throughout. During intermission, toga clad thespians guide an exploration of big questions about happiness and pleasure, meaning and purpose, justice and beauty, while guests view works that reveal how local artists see these themes. Act 2 offers insights from guest artists on what the arts have to do with living well, followed by a facilitated conversation, inquiry, and an audience Q and A. This event is free and open to all. Community partners and sponsors include the Philosophy Learning and Teaching Organization, DoubleTree by Hilton Helena Downtown, Lot 13 Productions, the Holter Museum of Art, and Helena Civic Television.

In this first year the event is non-sanctioned, providing flexibility to establish a strong foundation and deliver a smooth, well-organized experience for athletes, vendors, sponsors, and spectators. Future growth and potential sanctioning may be considered as the show develops. Planned divisions include men’s bodybuilding, classic physique, and men’s physique, along with women’s bikini, figure, women’s physique, and fit model. Specific class groupings will be announced as registrations come in. The vision extends beyond trophies, with a portion of proceeds or donations directed toward select causes that make a positive impact in the community.
