The course covers about 5.6 miles with roughly 1,300 feet of elevation gain and loss, including around 1.5 miles on roads and over 4 miles of singletrack. After a steady ascent, the route drops back toward the historic Last Chance Gulch area in downtown Helena, with views of the City of Helena, Prickly Pear Valley, and the Elkhorn and Big Belt Mountains. Packet pickup takes place before the start. A reduced entry fee is available for early registration. For safety and trail courtesy, dogs and strollers are not permitted.
