    This two-day introductory K9 tracking workshop blends classroom learning with practical fieldwork in Columbia Falls and Kalispell, Montana. It is led by Neil Day of All Day Dog Adventures, a UK College of Scent Dogs certified tracking instructor and International Police Work Dog Association SAR trailing handler. Participants can expect a combination of theory and hands-on application, with one-on-one coaching for each team that may include laying and running tracks or short starter exercises based on experience. Topics include the science of scent and track laying, principles and methods of laying tracks, line handling skills, how to start your dog, how to progress together as a team, the use of articles on the track, and end-of-session debriefs. Training depends on weather conditions, and scheduling may be adjusted if ground cover is not suitable for tracking. Tuition for the weekend is $350 for one working dog, $325 for a second working dog, and $175 to audit without a dog. Space is limited on a first come, first served basis.
