Il Maestro! Lecture

The Holter hosts a lecture with Nicole Maria Evans, Chief Curator and Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art, focused on the exhibition Il Maestro! Works by Morton Levin, a Centennial Celebration. Evans will share how she shaped the curatorial approach and offer deeper insight into Morton Levin’s life and artistic practice. There is no admission charge and the public is welcome. Parental discretion is advised. Evans leads the curatorial program at Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art in Great Falls, Montana, overseeing exhibitions, collections, and related initiatives since 2019. With more than two decades of experience at institutions including the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and the Smithsonian, she has guided acquisitions, preservation and fundraising projects, publications, and traveling exhibitions, and has been honored with recognition such as the MAM 2025 Jack Lepley Museum Person of the Year award. She holds a joint MA in Art History and Museum Studies from Tufts University with research in Havana, and a BA in Art History from UCLA that included study at Université de Bordeaux. She also serves on the boards of the Montana Art Gallery Directors Association and the Museum Association of Montana.
