Pony Keepers Night at the Missoula Carousel is a weekly volunteer session focused on caring for a cherished Missoula landmark. Participants help keep the carousel in top condition by tackling tasks like mechanical checks and general upkeep, painting and touching up the ponies, shining brass poles, taking on electrical and mechanical tasks, greasing gears, lifting and swapping ponies, and doing woodworking and carving. Training is provided, so no prior experience is needed, and experienced helpers are welcome too. It offers a chance to work with your hands, learn new skills, and support this community landmark. Wear clothes that can get messy, and bringing a friend is encouraged.

Story Time takes place in the Imaginarium on Level Two of the library. Children ages 5 and up, together with their caregivers, can enjoy stories, crafts, music, and plenty of laughs. Themes rotate each session, offering something new each time.

Held in the Imaginarium, this early literacy session uses sounds, rhythms, and movement to support emerging readers. Children will sing songs, practice simple fingerplays and classic nursery rhymes, and listen to stories in an engaging setting. Led by members of the Youth Services staff.
