Systema Martial Arts: Free Trial Class for Beginners

Durham · Triangle Aikido, 4603 Hillsborough Rd

    Free

Experience Systema in a free trial class that introduces a holistic approach to training mind, body, and spirit. The session weaves together elements of martial arts, yoga, massage, and meditation to build practical self protection skills through natural, instinctive movement. Expect a step by step emphasis on moving with sound structure and as little tension as possible, helping you develop awareness, adaptability, and composure under stress. Training is varied and no two sessions are the same. Participants work at a comfortable pace while steadily improving movement quality, efficiency, and understanding. Classes commonly open with breathwork, mobility, and conditioning rooted in Russian martial traditions to ease mental and physical tension and build resilience, then progress into rolling, falling, groundwork, and theme based movement drills. NC Systema is an official school of Systema Vasiliev, and instructors maintain annual certification through Systema Headquarters in Toronto. For questions, email taylor@ncsystema.com.
