This Cars and Coffee gathering in Holly Springs takes place on the second Saturday of each month. Organizers expect pleasant weather for this edition. Annual family membership is $20, and participants may take home some produce on days they work, while most of the harvest supports local food banks. No advance signup is required. Apex Underground Market, presented by The MAKRS Society, brings a market and concert series to Sweetwater Town Center. This monthly event features new bands at each installment, more than 30 local vendors, food trucks, and more. American Legion Post 116 presents the fourth annual Bring Your Own Pool Party for members. Attendees bring their own kiddie pools or favorite floats and set up a personal splash spot. Learn the essentials of cake decorating in a hands-on class that takes you from stacking layers through the finishing touches. You will practice layering a cake, applying a neat crumb coat, smoothing buttercream, and working on piping techniques, then complete and decorate a two-layer, 6-inch cake to take home. Registration covers prebaked layers, the tools needed for decorating, instruction in basic techniques, light refreshments, a starter decorating kit, and your finished cake to bring home.
