Children can explore movement, music, and imagination in a creative movement class at Koi-B Collective Education Center. Guided by experienced dance instructor and homeschool mom Brianna Crews, the class blends dance, playful activities, rhythm, and storytelling to encourage self-expression. Young learners build confidence, coordination, balance, and social skills in a caring setting where every child is welcomed and encouraged. Each session features age-appropriate activities that spark creativity and foster a lasting love of movement and the arts. Whether a child is twirling for the first time or already loves to dance, this class offers a supportive place to learn and shine. Cost is $20 per class or $60 per month.

Koi-B Kids Jam is a weekly class for little ones at Koi-B Collective Education Center, offering a lively mix of trying instruments, using singing voices, and integrative play time filled with wigglin and jigglin. Designed with young children in mind, it provides a welcoming space to explore music and movement together.

The 55th annual Shrimp Festival is on the way. This milestone year highlights more than five decades of tradition, and excitement is already building.

The Radiant 5K welcomes participants of all ages to run, walk, or complete the course with a stroller while connecting with others and making memories. Open to women, men, families, and children, the event is set at River of Life Church. Registration costs $15 per runner. Registrations are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Participants can look forward to cheers at the finish line.

Hosted by MCJC and Wreaths Across America Jacksonville NC, this Show & Shine gathers Jeep and 4x4 owners to display their vehicles while supporting a fundraiser to purchase wreaths for placement at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. Entries will be evaluated in Sponsor's Choice, People's Choice, Most Patriotic acknowledging the U.S. 250th, and Best Off-Road, with prizes awarded. The event features a 50/50 raffle, additional raffles for items contributed by businesses and individuals, vendors, and children's games. Raffle and prize support has been provided or pledged by Military Veteran Products, Horn Blasters, Oracle Lights, Mountain2Metal, Up & Duck, Wet Bucket Tattoo, Harbor Freight, Ace Hardware, OnX Maps, and Bubba's 33.
