The 2nd Annual Back To School Bash, hosted by First United Methodist Church of Sneads Ferry, brings the community together for a free day focused on helping local students get ready for a new school year. Families can pick up free backpacks and school supplies, enjoy food and refreshments, and take part in games and activities for all ages. Community fellowship is at the heart of the day, with firefighters, EMS, military, and police personnel participating. A Blessing of the Backpacks will also be offered. Supplies are available while they last. Everyone is welcome, and there are opportunities to sponsor, donate supplies, volunteer, or partner.

New River Harley-Davidson fires up the grill for a community cookout where local clubs and organizations serve complimentary hot dogs, chips, and water while raising funds for community causes. It offers an easygoing setting to connect with fellow riders, share stories, and grab a simple bite together. For this edition, the grill is led by the Christian Motorcycle Association, Light Keepers Chapter.
