Beyond plants and food, the festival features handmade and artisan goods, farm and pantry products, herbs and flowers, garden and homestead supplies, body care items, and offerings from local and regional small businesses, with a few surprises along the way. An education program brings together members of the wider fig community to share topics such as the history of online fig marketplaces and choosing reliable sources, propagation from cuttings, air layering, and how a growing collection can become an orchard. A large raffle adds to the day, with prizes that include two Agri Supply gift cards valued at $150 each, a FigBrew gift bundle of about $170, restaurant gift cards totaling $160, rare and unusual fig trees, specialty foods, handmade goods, fig merchandise, and separate dog and cat gift baskets along with vendor-created bundles. Signing up for the Forest of Eden email list at the festival provides a first raffle ticket at no cost, and winners do not need to be present to claim prizes, as pickup can be arranged afterward.
