The Soft Return: Postpartum Meet Up

Mallard Creek Recreation Center, 2760 Polk and White Rd, Charlotte · verified Oct 9
    Free

The Soft Return: Music Therapy for Postpartum Moms is a free program offered every two weeks that creates a calm, informal space where postpartum caregivers can connect with peers and explore the therapeutic power of music, with the option to participate alongside their babies. Each 60-minute session is guided by a facilitator with support from musicians and includes live, interactive music, optional gentle movement, infant-focused musical play, and reflective time for caregivers. For this session, live music is provided by Lana and Victor of Handpan Vibe, a married duo with classical roots in piano and clarinet. Both are experienced performers and dedicated teachers who have embraced the handpan for its warm, resonant, and deeply soothing voice. They craft original pieces and arrange familiar melodies to create a soft, immersive, and meditative atmosphere that encourages relaxation, emotional grounding, and a calm sense of presence. The steady, repeating tones of the handpan help nurture a setting that invites rest and quiet connection. Caregivers are welcome to bring comfort items such as floor or yoga mats and bolsters if desired, and ample chair seating will be available. Questions can be directed to info@dearsoulmusic.co.
