    Signature Series: Songs Without Words

Greenville · Fletcher Recital Hall, 931 Ormond Way

Four Seasons presents an expressive chamber program featuring music by Felix Mendelssohn, Clara Wieck Schumann, and Robert Schumann. The program moves from Mendelssohn’s Song without Words for cello and piano to the Andante from Clara Schumann’s Piano Trio in G Minor, two companion pieces that travel from tender lyricism to simmering tension. One of the larger centerpieces is Robert Schumann’s Piano Trio No. 2 in F Major, a bright and spirited work. The concert closes with Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 2 in C Minor, an intense journey that rises to a jubilant, hymn-like finale. The trio of Ieva Jokubaviciute on piano, Ara Gregorian on violin, and Zvi Plesser on cello brings this music to life. Season subscriptions are available, individual tickets are $40, and a limited number of $10 Community Rush Tickets are available.
