Michael Hahn Trio and James Graham at Stage 33 Live

33 Bridge St, Bellows Falls · verified Sep 13
    See details

A matinee at Stage 33 Live brings a shared bill from the Michael Hahn Trio and James Graham in an intimate listening room set in a converted factory. Michael Hahn has been performing since the 1967 Summer of Love, when he started gigging in bars at just 14. Over the years he has worked with noted dance bands including Hornbeam, Don’t Call Betty, Hoochie Lombardo, Whetstone, and Ten Mile Shuffle Band. Now in his seventies, he continues to appear regularly, and this show features his trio with Sid Gulick on guitar and vocal and John Pheiffer on cello. James Graham traces his roots to the anti-folk movement that emerged in New York City’s East Village around 1990, later relocating to Lyme, New Hampshire, while staying true to influences drawn from rock, soul, reggae, and punk, music that seeks meaning in a complicated world and aims to move the spirit. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door as available. Advance purchase guarantees entry, and capacity is limited to 40 seats. Stage 33 Live focuses on original work by local, regional, and national artists. There is no bar or kitchen, and the emphasis is on the performance, with coffee, soda, juice, water, and unusual snacks available by donation. The venue is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
