Bruce Hampton & the Aquarium Rescue Unit. His current creative chapter includes work with The Toy Factory Project, a tribute to guitarist Toy Caldwell, and a new collaboration with vocalist Lamar Williams Jr. titled The Offering, produced by Soulive co-founder Alan Evans and recorded at Iceland’s Flóki Studios. The music leans into melody and groove, folding Southern soul, gospel harmonies, exploratory rock, and African rooted rhythms together, often colored by his banjo. The first single, The Way We Rise, is already available through Flóki Studios, offering a glimpse of the spirit and ensemble focus he is championing.

Renowned for improvisation that elevates the music rather than overtaking it, he has collaborated with Plant Krauss, Diana Krall, Lyle Lovett, Béla Fleck, Steven Tyler, and Elvis Costello.
