Celebrate Pride with flash tattoos at Art Gallery Tattoo. Each design is $60, cash only. Choose from a curated set of flash sheets with no alterations, and placement is limited to arms or legs. Tattoos are roughly 2 by 2 to 3 by 3 inches. The available designs will be shared on the event page the day before. Service is first come, first served. Upon arrival, guests complete a release form, select a design, and sign in. Staff will take a phone number and call or text when a spot is nearly ready, and wait times can extend for several hours. The team strives to accommodate as many participants as possible, though the list may close early once capacity is reached. Any cutoff updates will appear on the event page. Sourdough Workshop for Beginners

Learn the essentials of sourdough in a beginner-friendly, hands-on workshop in Point Pleasant Boro led by Maria Santos, a local sourdough cottage baker. The class covers what a starter is, how to keep it thriving, and each step of the baking process, with guidance on equipment choices, flour types, and time for questions. Participants bake a loaf during the session and take home dough in the banneton to bake the next day. Enrollment includes a glass-jarred starter, a kit with a banneton, scoring lame, bench scraper, dough whisk, and mixing bowl, plus a detailed student guide and access to Maria’s private sourdough groups for continued learning and recipe sharing. At Spire Coffeehouse, local author and retired teacher Wendy Yeager leads a beach-themed story time centered on her children's book, Marcella and Gemma: Kindness at the Beach. The reading highlights friendship, kindness, and thoughtful choices during a day by the sea. Beach-inspired games are planned, including the Sand Dollar Dice Game and Sea Life Go Fish for all ages, a Shell Memory Game for all ages, and Wipeout high-frequency word practice for students in grades K to 2. Books will be available for purchase and signing. It offers a relaxed morning for moms to catch up over coffee while kids play, or an easy outing for dads and little ones to enjoy together.

Gilbert and Sullivan’s H.M.S. Pinafore

Experience the classic Gilbert and Sullivan operetta H.M.S. Pinafore in a fully costumed and fully orchestrated production from Jersey Shore Light Opera. Onboard the good ship Pinafore, Captain Corcoran’s daughter, Josephine, loves the brave but low-ranking sailor Ralph Rackstraw, nicknamed Rafe, while her father favors a match with the well-born Sir Joseph, First Lord of the Admiralty. The captain faces a parallel predicament when his former nanny, Little Buttercup, declares her feelings, and he hesitates because of social standing. Everything changes when Little Buttercup unveils a long-kept secret that turns the story around. This traditionally staged, newly produced presentation takes place on the main stage in Building 11A. Tickets are $35 for adults and $30 for seniors and students. Presented by Jersey Shore Light Opera, a veteran-managed, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) company dedicated to theater, musical performances, and arts education. The organization is nonsectarian and independent, rents rehearsal and office space from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Byzantine Catholic Church, and aims to produce Gilbert and Sullivan, operetta, and Golden Age musicals each season while continuing to feature both union and non-union performers, with plans to add members of Actors’ Equity.

Mindful Music in the Park

A monthly accessible community sound bath invites calm with crystal bowls, an ocean drum, chimes, and other soothing instruments, all set to the simple rhythms of fresh air, sunshine, and birdsong. Settle into a chair or stretch out on a blanket and simply listen. There are no participation requirements, and attendees may come and go as needed. The session runs about 40 minutes. Bring a blanket or chair and dress for the weather. Open to all ages and abilities, and the park includes paved areas and accessible restrooms. This free gathering welcomes optional donations in support of the Special Hearts Adaptive Wellness program, which creates connection and access for adults with varying intellectual and developmental disabilities through personalized, therapeutic, student-led wellness services. No RSVP is required. If it rains, the event will be canceled. Consider packing a bagged lunch to enjoy under the bayside pavilion afterward.
