Free events in Tuckerton, NJ

Volunteers will gather to share hot pizza and distribute essential items with people experiencing homelessness in Atlantic City. Organizers will supply the pizza and plates, and they ask participants to bring 5 to 10 brown bag lunches and toiletries for distribution. Simple lunches such as turkey or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with a bag of chips work well, and travel-size toiletries are especially helpful. Soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, and toothpaste are among the most needed items. Those who prefer not to take part in the handout can still contribute by dropping off food, adult clothing, and toiletries during the event. Families are welcome, and children can participate. This class is free to attend, and optional donations are welcome. Any contributions will be shared between Angels in Motion and The Leadership Studio.

The Betterment Committee is partnering with the city for a summer neighborhood cleanup focused on the block around the building and the Boardwalk. Five residents are needed twice each month to bag trash and remove debris. All supplies are provided, including bags, gloves, and grabbers, so participants only need to bring their energy. It is a quick and simple way to give back while enjoying the summer air. To take a shift, sign up by email or stop by the lobby.
