Volunteers will gather to share hot pizza and distribute essential items with people experiencing homelessness in Atlantic City. Organizers will supply the pizza and plates, and they ask participants to bring 5 to 10 brown bag lunches and toiletries for distribution. Simple lunches such as turkey or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with a bag of chips work well, and travel-size toiletries are especially helpful. Soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, and toothpaste are among the most needed items. The Betterment Committee is partnering with the city for a summer neighborhood cleanup focused on the block around the building and the Boardwalk. Five residents are needed twice each month to bag trash and remove debris. All supplies are provided, including bags, gloves, and grabbers, so participants only need to bring their energy.
