This outdoor trail welcomes all ages, though carrying young children is not permitted for safety. Monster repellent bracelets are available to help younger guests, but the experience is intended to be scary. Entry is a $10 donation to the Ocean View Fire Company, payable by cash or card. The attraction remains open until everyone already in line at closing has finished. Wear closed toed shoes and dress for the weather, since the entire experience takes place outside. A fall Halloween campout at Belleplain State Forest features activities centered around Site 118 in the CCC section. The gathering has been held for about fifteen years. Early booking is recommended to secure a campsite.

ARSC Rec & School Championships is a cheer and dance competition at The Wildwoods Convention Center. It is open to athletes in Traditional Rec, School, Rec Stars, and sideline cheer divisions. Every team receives a banner, with additional banners presented to grand champions. Admission is $30 per person, and children under 5 are free. A schedule will be provided for attendees.

A new endurance event from Even Kiel Racing pairs trail challenge with added comfort at Rooted Acres NJ. The course features a five and a half mile loop on dirt with very few roots, and athletes aim to complete as many laps as possible within their designated time frame. Each lap must begin and end by crossing the mat, participants may take as long as they like before starting the next lap, and any final lap not finished by the designated end time will not count. The venue offers a full kitchen, bathrooms, hot and cold showers, a sauna, a cold plunge, and fire pits. Lodging options include free tent camping, plus discounted cabins and yurts available on a first come, first served basis. Families have plenty to do nearby, with Belleplain State Park next door for biking and hiking trails and a beautiful lake, the Cape May Zoo just minutes away, and on-site gardens and animals to enjoy at the Rooted Acre facility. Rooted Acres highlights a connection to the outdoors and community through glamping stays, retreats, and events.
