Part of the Extinction of Summer event, this pop-up science program invites visitors to explore the differences between insects and arachnids with a park ranger. Learn how to tell these animals apart, discover what makes each group unique, and examine objects or replicas that bring the lesson to life. Conversation is encouraged, and the experience is designed for all ages and is kid friendly. Hosted by Ice Age Fossils State Park, please check in at the front desk when you arrive. The setting will be decided the day the program takes place, so activities may occur indoors or outdoors.
