Running with the Devil 5K, 10K, 13.1M, 26.2, 50K

Mojave Desert road running takes center stage on a paved, rolling course that winds through a canyon at roughly 4,500 feet. The route highlights high desert vegetation, including Joshua trees, pinion-juniper, mountain rose, and sagebrush, along a relatively lush section of the Toiyabe National Forest not often associated with Las Vegas. With curves through the Spring Mountains NRA, temperatures tend to run about 10 degrees cooler than the Las Vegas Valley. It is still a heat-focused challenge, with daytime highs around 95 to 100 and overnight lows near 75, and on-course provisions help participants stay cool. The format offers flexibility, including the option to run two events without traveling in between. Examples include a morning half marathon followed by a noon 10K, a 5K in both the morning and at noon, or a morning 10K paired with a noon 5K. Participants can also opt for a single race, making it a welcoming setup for anyone curious about pushing toward longer efforts.
