Blue Monday at T-PAC spotlights T-PAC Jack and the Underground, featuring Jack Civiletto, Micky Judware, Bob Ambrusko and Brent C. Minet. A different guest artist joins each week. The night starts with a set by the house band, continues with a collaboration between the guest and Jack, and concludes with a Pro-Jam led by Donna Rose. Artists who wish to participate are asked to check in with stage manager Donna Rose upon arrival. Appetizers, dinner, desserts and drinks are available, and dancing is encouraged. DSP Shows presents a live set by 9Million at The 9th Ward, featuring the Toronto outfit’s expansive blend of shoegaze and alt rock threaded with brooding alt pop, indie rock, and synthwave. The project is led by multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Matthew Tomasi, recognized for work with Ethel Cain and Nicole Dollanganger and for his production and mixing in his home community. What began as Tomasi’s personal outlet quickly grew into a collaborative band with Ace Mendoza on lead guitar and vocals, Danielle Clark on vocals and acoustic guitar, Lia Lepre on keys and percussion, Jamie Fastlane on bass, Noah Aviles-Betel on drums, and Looch Man on guitar and vocals. Since releasing Gush, the group has toured across North America supporting artists such as Glitterer, Cold Mega, Ethel Cain, Angel Du$t, Candy, and Fleshwater. Their sound nods to 90s trailblazers like Hum and Failure while connecting that lineage to contemporary slowcore-influenced pop, a sensibility reflected in records Tomasi has worked on including Preacher’s Daughter, Natural Born Losers, and Married In Mount Airy. General admission standing tickets are $17 in advance and $20 the day of the show, available online or in person at the Babeville Box Office. In-person cash purchases are fee free, and credit or debit cards incur a 3 percent fee.

Peppers in Buffalo hosts a weekly music night where a different featured artist leads the program, performs, and selects a limited number of open mic slots. Sign-ups are available for the curated open mic, then the evening shifts to karaoke. A full bar with cocktails is offered, along with a late night menu.

The John Troy Group presents Monthly Moods, a relaxed session inspired by lofi hip hop. Musicians are invited to bring their instruments and join the music-making. There is no cover, creating an easygoing space to create, collaborate, and enjoy the groove.

Conductor Ron Spigelman leads the BPO in a birthday salute to Gershwin, joined by vocalist Alexandra McArthur. The program features favorites such as I Got Rhythm, Summertime, I’ve Got a Crush on You, and The Man I Love. Gershwin’s blend of orchestral color and popular American song takes center stage, with swing, romantic moments, and vibrant rhythms brought to life by the orchestra.

After Dark Presents brings Downtown Boys to Rec Room Buffalo with special guests Hostile Makeover. Entry is 16 and over with ID. Attendees under 16 may enter with a parent or legal guardian, and no one under 12 will be admitted. Downtown Boys formed when singer Victoria Marie and guitarist and singer Joey La Neve DeFrancesco began collaborating while organizing at a hotel in Providence, writing early songs about workplace struggles. The quintet also features saxophonist and synthesist Joe DeGeorge, bassist Mary Jane Regalado, and drummer Joey Doubek. Their recent work centers on Public Luxury on Sub Pop Records, a collection that keeps politics at the forefront and strives to mirror the intensity of their live shows. The band blends punk and indie roots with Latin traditions, combines drum machines with acoustic drums, threads saxophones between riffs, and layers synths with guitars to build rich melodies. Songs such as No Me Jodas, Sirena, Viva La Rosa, a reworked Mi Concha from Malportado Kids, Yellow Sun, Albuterol, You’re a Ghost, The City Begins, Enemy Without, Public Works, and Public Luxury highlight this range. Past releases include Cost of Living on Sub Pop, featuring Somos Chulas (No Somos Pendejas) and A Wall, and they composed the score for the Italian film Miss Marx, which earned best score honors at the Venice Film Festival and the David di Donatello Awards. Public Luxury was co-produced by Joey La Neve DeFrancesco with recording engineer Seth Manchester at Machines With Magnets in Pawtucket, near the band’s early home in Providence.

Tyler Westcott marks the release of his new album, Wanderlust, with a performance at Sportsmens Tavern in Buffalo, NY. This album release concert brings the new songs to the stage with Westcott joined by additional musicians. Wanderlust was recorded with Aaron Lipp at Temple Cabin Studios in Naples, NY, and features contributions from Ric Robertson, Elton Hough, Tim Clarke, John Troy, Brendan Gosson, and Doug Henrie. Mixing and mastering were handled by Justin Rose. The cover art is an original painting by Bobby DiTrani that reflects imagery from the lyrics.

Step onto the Grand Lady for a two hour cruise timed to sunset, featuring a buffet dinner, live music, and a cash bar. Tequila Sunrise performs at The Caz with a tribute to the Eagles, delivered by a lineup of Western New York musicians that includes members of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame. The program covers songs from the Eagles along with solo hits by Glenn Frey, Don Henley, and Joe Walsh, plus selections connected to the band’s wider circle, including Poco and Jackson Browne, and more.

Luna takes the stage at Asbury Hall in a concert presented by DSP Shows. General admission standing tickets are $35 in advance and $40 on the day of the show. Formed in New York in 1991 by singer and guitarist Dean Wareham after Galaxie 500 ended, the band released seven studio albums before calling it a day in 2005. They returned after a decade to tour in 2015, then followed with new recordings in 2017, including the LP A Sentimental Education and the instrumental EP A Place of Greater Safety. Recent reissues include a deluxe double LP edition of Penthouse on Rhino and Lunafied, a two LP set that gathers the cover songs they recorded in the 1990s. The lineup remains the same as it was from 1999 through 2005, with Wareham on vocals and guitar, Britta Phillips on bass, Sean Eden on guitar, and Lee Wall on drums. The Guardian has praised the band's graceful, chiming sound, writer Jerry Stahl has highlighted Wareham's distinctive voice, and Rolling Stone's Rob Sheffield has described them as among indie rock's most beloved live acts.

Southern Junction BBQ hosts a summer Sunday brunch series featuring live music on the back patio from Jenuine Cello, a cello looper from South Padre Island, Texas. Guests can order from the brunch menu, grab a drink, and take in the performance in a friendly patio setting.
