Fruition brings the Something More Tour to Colony Woodstock NY with a sound shaped by three distinct songwriters and the chemistry of five longtime bandmates. For more than 15 years, the group has grown a grassroots audience through rich, layered vocal harmonies and collaborative, song-centered Americana. What started as a busking string band has grown into an eclectic blend of rock, soul, folk, and pop, delivered with a homegrown spirit that values honesty and even the occasional rough edge. Their recent releases capture a reinvigorated band in full stride, and the 2024 album How To Make Mistakes drew praise for hard-earned insight and the strength that comes from shared voices. Expect an evening of multiple lead singers, tight harmonies, and songs that balance heart, grit, and groove.

Lola Kirke takes the stage for a concert shaped by country roots and airy textures, reflecting her work as a musician, actor, and author. Her latest album, Trailblazer, grew from a resolve to write the songs she needed to hear, pushing back on pressure to conform and leaning into individuality. Created with Grammy winning writer and producer Daniel Tashian, it blends twang and rock and roll while centering her own voice. The record moves from city love letters and outsider anthems to intimate portraits of family and self acceptance, with songs such as Raised by Wolves, Bury Me in New York City, Easy on You, 2 Damn Sexy co written with Ashley Monroe, Zeppelin 3, Mississippi My Sister Elvis and Me, Marlboro Lights and Madonna written with Natalie Hemby and Jason Nix, and classic heartache turns like 241s and Hungover Thinking co written with Liz Rose. Kirke’s path to Nashville follows years of trusting her instincts. She released the 80s country inspired Lady For Sale on Jack White’s Third Man Records, then teamed with Elle King on the Country Curious EP that featured harmonies from First Aid Kit and earned praise for mixing laughter with heart. She has sold out storied rooms including the Bowery Ballroom and the Troubadour, appeared on CBS Saturday Morning’s Saturday Sessions, made her Stagecoach debut, and stepped onto the Opry stage in a dress once worn by June Carter and loaned by Rosanne Cash. Offstage, she is the author of the memoir in essays Wild West Village, and her background spans London and New York City, with family ties to Simon Kirke of Free and Bad Company.

Music Masters Collective presents the inaugural Catskill Crossroads Blues Camp, a three-day-and-night celebration of the blues set in the pristine Catskill Mountains at Full Moon Resort, about half an hour from Woodstock and roughly two and a half hours from New York City. The gathering centers on performances, interactive workshops, masterclasses, and plentiful chances to make music together. Attendees can take the stage for jams, explore dedicated acoustic and electric rooms equipped with backline, and take part in open mics and campfire song circles. Jam spaces are supported by strong rhythm sections and welcome players from beginners to advanced musicians. Evenings bring storytelling and special collaborations that pair old friends with new partners for memorable sets. The 100-acre setting features fields, forests, mountains, and spring-fed streams, along with country-inn style lodging, luxury cottages, glamping, gourmet dining, beautifully repurposed barns, the artistically rustic Roadhouse, and the Moondance Pavilion that has hosted many Music Masters Collective performances. Musicians can bring instruments to learn from and play alongside legends and rising artists, while blues fans can relax, listen, and connect with a welcoming community. It all adds up to a spirited journey through a singular American art form.

An intimate acoustic program brings together Tim O’Brien, Sam Grisman, and Victor Furtado, three musicians united by songcraft, storytelling, and instrumental finesse that carry forward the enduring threads of American acoustic music. In a personal note, Sam Grisman shares that Tim O’Brien’s singing, writing, and instrumental work have profoundly influenced generations of acoustic players, and that playing favorite Tim songs with him in a trio setting alongside longtime friend Victor Furtado fulfills a dream he held since high school. Sam is a bassist, bandleader, and devoted listener raised in Mill Valley, California, where his father, mandolinist and producer David Grisman, hosted frequent home studio sessions with artists such as Doc Watson, Jerry Garcia, John Hartford, Mike Seeger, and Tony Rice. He leads the Sam Grisman Project, created to spotlight the music of his upbringing and its impact on both the ensemble and the wider community. Featuring a rotating cast of standout acoustic voices across guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, cello, and Dobro, the project maintains a meaningful connection with bluegrass pioneer Peter Rowan and has welcomed notable guests including David Grisman, John Sebastian, Tim O’Brien, Billy Strings, Maria Muldaur, and Margo Price.
