After Dark Presents brings Downtown Boys to Rec Room Buffalo with special guests Hostile Makeover. Entry is 16 and over with ID. Downtown Boys formed when singer Victoria Marie and guitarist and singer Joey La Neve DeFrancesco began collaborating while organizing at a hotel in Providence, writing early songs about workplace struggles. The quintet also features saxophonist and synthesist Joe DeGeorge, bassist Mary Jane Regalado, and drummer Joey Doubek. Their recent work centers on Public Luxury on Sub Pop Records, a collection that keeps politics at the forefront and strives to mirror the intensity of their live shows. The band blends punk and indie roots with Latin traditions, combines drum machines with acoustic drums, threads saxophones between riffs, and layers synths with guitars to build rich melodies. Songs such as No Me Jodas, Sirena, Viva La Rosa, a reworked Mi Concha from Malportado Kids, Yellow Sun, Albuterol, You’re a Ghost, The City Begins, Enemy Without, Public Works, and Public Luxury highlight this range. Past releases include Cost of Living on Sub Pop, featuring Somos Chulas (No Somos Pendejas) and A Wall, and they composed the score for the Italian film Miss Marx, which earned best score honors at the Venice Film Festival and the David di Donatello Awards. Public Luxury was co-produced by Joey La Neve DeFrancesco with recording engineer Seth Manchester at Machines With Magnets in Pawtucket, near the band’s early home in Providence.

Tyler Westcott marks the release of his new album, Wanderlust, with a performance at Sportsmens Tavern in Buffalo, NY. This album release concert brings the new songs to the stage with Westcott joined by additional musicians. Wanderlust was recorded with Aaron Lipp at Temple Cabin Studios in Naples, NY, and features contributions from Ric Robertson, Elton Hough, Tim Clarke, John Troy, Brendan Gosson, and Doug Henrie. Mixing and mastering were handled by Justin Rose. The cover art is an original painting by Bobby DiTrani that reflects imagery from the lyrics.

Sportsmens presents Dale Watson & His Lone Stars for a night steeped in the sound he calls Ameripolitan, a blend of honky-tonk, outlaw country, western swing, and rockabilly. With a career spanning more than four decades and over 30 albums, Watson has earned national attention with appearances on Austin City Limits, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and The Late Show with David Letterman, and he has shared stages with Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Kris Kristofferson. The set draws from Unwanted, his 2026 album written and produced by Watson and recorded in Austin and Memphis. Highlights include the hard-charging Willie Waylon and Whiskey, the tender If You Really Loved Me (Outlive Me), and the nostalgic Life is Like a Song, all delivered with the kind of voice and twang built for a packed dancehall.
