This welcoming 5K brings together families, friends, and supporters to champion Arc GLOW’s mission. People of all ages and abilities can run, walk, or cheer, with music, refreshments, and plenty of community spirit throughout. The focus is on inclusion and celebrating the individuals served by Arc GLOW.

Billed as the largest Celtic celebration in New York, this festival fills the Niagara County Fairgrounds with a weekend of family friendly activities less than an hour from Buffalo and Rochester. Experience the traditions of Ireland, Scotland, and Wales through live Celtic music, dance performances, athletic competitions, clan gatherings, living history demonstrations, vendors, food, and activities for children. Children 12 and under are admitted free, and admission ranges from $14 to $37.

The Irish Tweeds will perform on the Dragonfly Stage at the Niagara Celtic Festival on Saturday, just before the parade.

Explore the Oakfield Historical Society at the Susan Sanford Research Center and discover From Frontier to Future: Oakfield in 50-Year Stories, a new exhibition that traces more than two centuries of change. Beginning in 1801, galleries move in 50-year spans that follow the community from forested beginnings and early settlers to today. Themes include railroads and manufacturing, global conflicts, education, downtown businesses, farming, family life, and the civic pride that links each generation. Five eras come together to show how every period built on the last. Popular exhibits have been refreshed, including the US Gypsum Company, Native American, and War Room displays. Visitors can also browse the research library. Copies of the society’s books are available. Admission is free, parking is available on the street or behind the building, and donations are welcome.

This club welcomes builders ages 6 and older. All LEGO bricks are provided for open, unstructured building and creative play.

Digimon Trading Card Game open play is open to players, collectors, and enthusiasts for casual matches and trading. Learn the pace of play, face a range of strategies and deck builds, and sharpen your deck construction. Participation is free, with an optional $1 buy-in that provides prize support for taking part. In addition to open play, official Swiss-style tournaments run on the last Thursday and Saturday of each month for a $5 entry fee. Open to all ages and skill levels. Register at the front counter for both formats. Event rounds are managed with a Swiss-system pairing tool, and attendees are asked to check in with an attendance ping using Bandai’s TCG+ App.

Families of neurodiverse children and kids with different abilities are invited to a free inclusive playdate that encourages children to explore, play, and enjoy themselves in the ways that feel best to them. The setting is sensory friendly and safe, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all. The sensory dog, Gus, will be there. Guests may bring their own food and snacks to enjoy during the playtime. Please RSVP in advance, and if attending for the first time, complete an Open Play Waiver beforehand.

Explore local heritage with a museum and research room dedicated to Akron and Newstead history. The special exhibition "We, the People" delves into the Revolutionary War with original artifacts on loan, replica uniforms, battle maps, and objects that illuminate the everyday lives of Patriots. The permanent gallery "Moments in Time" highlights early businesses, industry, schools, and Indigenous history from the area. An annual themed display draws from the breadth of the collection, and "Landmarks and Legacies" offers a rotating presentation on a two-year cycle.

Enjoy a free, family friendly car cruise through Lock City where cars, bikes, and trucks are welcome. This is the second time the cruise extends late into the season, and organizers have made adjustments based on the first run, including an earlier wrap-up. Participants can register their vehicle at no cost for a chance to win a door prize. Expect food options, music, and a 50/50 raffle.
