Large planetary gongs create a full-body listening journey, joined by Tibetan and crystal bowls and other resonant instruments. Allison Russell, born in Montreal and based in Nashville, brings her acclaimed artistry to the stage. A singer, songwriter, producer, author, actor, and human rights advocate, she has earned recognition from the Grammys, Junos, Americana, SOCAN, and Folk communities and has been shortlisted for the Polaris Prize. Her solo debut Outside Child arrived in 2021, followed by The Returner in 2023 on Concord and Fantasy. Before her solo career, she co-founded and toured internationally with Po’Girl, Birds of Chicago, and Our Native Daughters, and she continues to collaborate with Our Native Daughters while also performing with Joni Mitchell’s Joni Jam. Recent highlights include joining Hozier’s Unreal Unearth tour across the U.S. and Europe, with their duet Wildflower & Barley giving her a first entry on the Billboard Hot 100. Her Rainbow Coalition ensemble and the All Returners tour extended into 2025 in Australia and North America, and she co-wrote Human Mind with Hozier for Mavis Staples. Russell has received eight Grammy nominations with one win, along with multiple honors such as Americana Award nominations and Album of the Year, a Juno for Contemporary Roots Album of the Year, International Folk Music Awards, Canadian Folk Music Awards, and UK Americana Awards. She was named Billboard Women in Music Canada’s Breakthrough Artist of the Year. She made her Broadway debut as Persephone in Anaïs Mitchell’s Hadestown in November 2024 and later returned for a second run. Beyond the stage, she is a dedicated advocate and organizer, curating the Once and Future Sounds set at Newport Folk Festival and co-founding Love Rising, which has raised more than $550,000 for LGBTQIA+ communities. Her memoir is forthcoming from Little, Brown, and her third album is planned for release in 2026. This event is all ages.

Mystic Pizza: A New Musical brings the film's story to the stage, following best friends Kat, Daisy, and Jojo as they navigate friendship and romance while serving slices at a small-town pizzeria. Powered by a score filled with favorite hits from the 80s and 90s, including Hit Me With Your Best Shot, Hold On, and Manic Monday, the show mixes plenty of laughs with heartfelt moments. Venetian Soda Lounge hosts Jonathan “Doc” Kaplan, a classically trained pianist who moves easily between blues, improvisation, and Grateful Dead inspirations. His background includes more than a decade performing with Carol Hausner, a stint as the Doctor with Alan Greenleaf, collaborations with numerous musicians across Vermont and New Hampshire, and 12 years as a featured pianist at the Canoe Club in Hanover, New Hampshire. Attendance is free, and contributions are welcome.

A Halloween showcase from Foam Presents features The Wet Ones, Bloodshot Bill, and Zombeat and Die. Bloodshot Bill performs solo with raw rockabilly grit, pairing a gravel-throated voice with agile, vintage-inspired guitar work. Known as the "Montreal Madman," he has toured throughout North America, Europe, and Japan, with music featured in campaigns for KFC, Mercedes, Dodge, and Chrysler. Honors include the Ameripolitan Rockabilly Male of the Year award and recognition among Vintage Rock magazine’s top eight rockin guitarists. John Waters once described him as "Roy Orbison with a head injury." The Wet Ones, appearing with dancers, are a Vermont power trio devoted to original surf instrumentals played fast and loud. Formed in 2018, they issued Tombstoning in 2019, then The Monster of Jungle Island, which doubles as the soundtrack to their zero-budget short B-horror film shot on Vermont’s Burton Island, with more music on the way. Zombeat and Die brings a haunted vibe as the spookiest DJ in town. This all-ages event offers free parking, admission is $15, and costumes are encouraged.

Pink Talking Fish is a hybrid tribute that blends the music of Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, and Phish into a cohesive, story-like concert experience. It channels the sweeping emotion associated with Pink Floyd, the layered, danceable rhythms of Talking Heads, and the playful, shape-shifting compositions of Phish, all woven into a single show that celebrates the communities these bands have inspired. The lineup features Eric Gould on bass, Richard James or Stephen Learson on keyboards, Zack Burwick on drums, and Cal Kehoe on guitar, musicians united by a deep love for these influential catalogs and a desire to present them in a fresh way. Discovering musical connections is part of the fun, whether it is sliding On The Run into the heart of You Enjoy Myself, tucking Sand into the groove of Slippery People, or crafting medleys that move from Run Like Hell to Making Flippy Floppy to Piper and back again, as well as linking Mike’s Song with Have a Cigar, Once in a Lifetime, and Weekapaug Groove.
