Building on the previous Artist Salon series, this free gathering invites artists and makers to share their work in short 5 to 10 minute spotlights hosted by Gallery and Events Manager, Elsa Koop-Angelicola. Each presenter speaks about their practice, answers questions, and can place pieces on a display table so the group can take a closer look while they talk. After the talks, attendees are encouraged to mingle and continue conversations about techniques, inspiration, and creative paths. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, designed to showcase artwork in an engaging way and to spark new ideas through time spent with fellow artists and the work on display. This event recurs every other month and welcomes both presenters and viewers at no cost.

The Adirondack Jazz Ensemble brings a monthly set to Olive Ridley's in Plattsburgh, featuring jazz, funk, Latin, R&B, and additional styles. All ages are welcome and admission is free.

With support from Liquor & Wine Warehouse, CB Electric, and Brennen Buick GMC, this event brings a true Nashville-style writers round to the North Country, pairing live country performances with the stories behind the songs while honoring veterans. Hosted at Olive Ridley’s, the evening spotlights Robin Ruddy, a Grammy-winning songwriter and Nashville session and touring musician with credits that include work with Shania Twain and Rod Stewart. Amanda Martin adds songwriting highlights such as Trace Adkins’ “Sometimes A Man Takes A Drink,” a duet collaboration with Lee Greenwood, a win in Belmont University’s songwriting competition, and performances with Vince Gill. Taylor LaValley rounds out the bill as the 2024 Josie Music Awards Emerging Artist of the Year and a Song of the Year honoree at the Opry in Nashville. Tickets are $15, and five dollars from each purchase supports North Country Honor Flight. A sponsor match boosts the impact, so one hundred tickets would generate five hundred dollars plus the match. EagleMania delivers a faithful celebration of the Eagles, featuring tight five-part harmonies, standout guitar work, and a sound that mirrors the original band. For more than a decade, the group has performed for sold-out audiences around the world. The show spotlights the Eagles’ biggest hits and also includes select solo favorites from Don Henley, Glenn Frey, and Joe Walsh.

The inaugural Dash for Dementia is a walk and run at the Suny Plattsburgh Field House that raises funds and builds awareness for people living with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Its name points to the small line between our first and last days, the span where memories, relationships, and stories live. Participants will walk or run to honor that life story and to help protect the moments that matter most. All proceeds benefit the 3rd Age Adult Day Center at SUNY Plattsburgh.

Off the Rocker performs at Buster's Sports Bar & Grill with a set of classic rock favorites from the 1970s and 1980s. Food and drinks are available from the bar and grill to go along with the live music.

Fall Fest brings the start of autumn to the Strand Center for the Arts with a full day of creative activities. Highlights include an annual pumpkin carving contest, a chalk challenge, kids activities, live art demos, and tours of the Art Center and Theatre. The gallery will also be open with free entry. His new album, Hard Road, released on his Red Zero Records imprint and created with producers Patrick "Guitar Boy" Hayes, Nick Goldston, and longtime collaborator Tom Hambridge, spotlights a wider palette that blends electric blues with rock, funk, soulful pop, R&B, and neo‑soul. Songs such as Nothin’ But Your Love, Voodoo Charm, S.S.S., Crosses, Clearly, Hard To Love, and the acoustic Memphis reflect a deeper focus on storytelling, vocal nuance, and dynamic guitar work. A native of Clarksdale, Mississippi, Kingfish first drew global attention as a teenager and has since earned major accolades. Celebrate the season at a Halloween themed artisan market set on the front lawn of The Strand Center for the Arts. This finale to a six part outdoor series is expected to feature up to 40 vendors, filling the space with a variety of handmade creations. Costumes are encouraged for both vendors and visitors, and the market coincides with the Downtown Trick or Treating event. A lineup of participating vendors will be shared, and registration details will be announced.

Visit Trinity Park and the Betty Little Arts Park to connect with community groups and businesses sharing goodies, and enjoy free face painting in Trinity Park. The 26th Annual Members Exhibition opens with a reception celebrating twenty-six years of shows dedicated to the Strand’s community of artists. Expect a diverse array of work across painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, fiber arts, 3D pieces, photography, digital art, and more, featuring both longtime contributors and newer creators.
