Gibson, this is New York State’s largest free cycling event, welcoming more than 4,000 riders from across the city and beyond. Participants can choose a 10 mile family friendly ride, a 25 mile route, or the returning 40 mile option. All routes set out together and finish at the New York Botanical Gardens. Registered riders travel through the South Bronx, Wakefield, Riverdale, Orchard Beach, and waterfront parks around The Bronx.

A Halloween-themed screening at Alamo Drafthouse Yonkers presents The Wicked (2004) as a New York world premiere for one night only. Long regarded as a lost shot-on-video horror feature that never saw an official release, the film returns in a newly restored and re-edited Director’s Version assembled from the original master tapes. This marks the first public presentation of the movie as it was originally intended. The story unfolds in a United States where Satanism has been outlawed, following Grace, the queen of a hidden satanic order, as she confronts betrayal within her ranks while descendants of the Knights Templar wage a ruthless crusade to annihilate her coven. Special effects are by Vincent Guastini, whose credits include Dogma and Requiem for a Dream. The event features an introduction by the director and a limited selection of merchandise, including HARDCORE POISONED EYES, subject to availability. Not rated. Contains strong violence, disturbing imagery, nudity, strong language, and mature themes involving occult practices. Viewer discretion is advised and the program is intended for mature audiences. The Library Jazz Band brings back its annual fall program, Dance, Dance, Dance, at Grinton I. Will Library. This concert highlights jazz as music in motion, with selections that fit a gentle blues sway as well as partner styles like swing, tango, and the waltz. The repertoire ranges from Count Basie to new arrangements of songs by Stevie Wonder and the Rolling Stones, showing the range and color a big band can offer. Founded in 2021 to help revive the big band tradition in the community and formally organized as a nonprofit in 2025, the ensemble is a 16-piece orchestra featuring five saxophones, four trombones, four trumpets, piano, bass, and drums. Its members include seasoned professionals alongside experienced amateurs, all focused on sharing vibrant live jazz with local audiences.
