Part of the Montgomery County Funk/R&B Series, with support from Montgomery County, Bob Ross Auto Group, and the Norma J. Ross Foundation, whose contributions help keep live music accessible to the community.

Numbers make way for familiar songs in a lively twist on bingo that turns each round into a dance party vibe. Players listen, mark the tunes on their cards, and the first to complete five in a row earns a prize. The fun unfolds beside the RiverScape Café, where food and drinks are available for purchase, including flatbreads, sides, desserts, and other refreshments. For those 21 and older, a full selection of cocktails, wine, and beer is offered as part of the Downtown Dayton DORA. It is free to take part, but bingo sheets are limited, so early arrival is encouraged. Friends can gather to sing along and put their music knowledge to the test.

Under the pavilion, the RiverScape Summer Music Series brings a Kenny Chesney tribute by The Poets & Pirates, capturing the spirit of the “No Shoes Nation” at RiverScape MetroPark. Guests may bring lawn chairs and enjoy a free concert as the sun sets over the Great Miami River. This Summer Music Series performance is presented by AES Ohio, with support from the Jack W. & Sally D. Eichelberger Foundation and Enterprise Roofing.

A high energy tribute to Talking Heads returns with a complete live recreation of the Stop Making Sense album performed by standout local musicians. Expect a lively dance floor, since this is designed as a standing dance party. The performance takes place at The Brightside Ballroom. All ages are welcome, with parental supervision required for those under 18, and guests 21 and over should bring ID. Tickets cost $20 in advance or $25 on the day of the show, and a limited number of reserved tables are available. Seating is limited, so comfortable shoes are recommended.

Dayton Porchfest transforms porches across the St. Anne’s Hill Historic District in Dayton into intimate stages for a neighborhood music celebration. Mini concerts highlight local performers and showcase the rich diversity of the city’s music scene. The program opens with T.R.S.S. Drum Corps, continues with rotating music blocks throughout the neighborhood, and concludes with an AfterFest featuring Heather Redman & The Reputation. Presented by The Collaboratory.

Celebrate Porchfest in St. Anne’s Hill with an August Biergarten filled with German music, trivia, and time well spent with friends. Food and beverages will be available for purchase with rotating specials. The menu features a half smoked chicken with cucumber salad and baked beans as a $15 meal, along with brats, metts, landjaeger, and pretzels. The kitchen will be open, and the chicken meal will be available in limited quantities. Enjoy live entertainment under the tent in the parking lot with a performance by Locking Up Otis.
