The 55th annual DAI Oktoberfest brings together live music, family-friendly activities, standout artisans, delicious food, a welcoming Weingarten, and a lineup of more than 50 craft and international beers. Hosted by the DAI’s Associate Board, it is one of the museum’s two major fundraising events organized by 35 duos who volunteer on four-year terms. These are true cases and the storytelling includes graphic detail that may not be suitable for all audiences. The experience lasts about two hours and crosses hilly, uneven grassy terrain. It can be strenuous and is not recommended for children, older adults, or anyone who may have difficulty walking long distances. The group gathers at Eichelberger Plaza at the cemetery’s main entrance. Sturdy walking shoes are encouraged, and bringing water can be helpful. Tours continue in all weather except during thunder or lightning. Advance reservations are necessary. A suggested $5 donation benefits the Woodland Arboretum Foundation and its work in restoration, preservation, horticulture, and education that helps keep Woodland a cultural resource for Dayton and Ohio.

Since 2022 they have entertained more than 200,000 educators and filled over 200 theaters across 49 states, five countries, and three continents. This stop at Victoria Theatre at Dayton Live features fresh material, bigger laughs, and sharply relatable stories about the realities of education, from parent-teacher conferences to everyday classroom chaos. Content may include PG-13 language, candid teacher truths, and uncontrollable laughter. All attendees require a ticket, and for the comfort of all guests, children on laps or infants are generally not permitted at most presentations.
