Guided by Jamie Hetzel of Dancing Woods Apothecary, this hands-on session continues an herbal body care series by focusing on what to do once an herb-infused oil is ready. Participants explore the fundamentals of formulation while turning that oil into skin-focused salves, balms, lotions, and creams. Topics include selecting and using waxes and emulsifiers, plus practical techniques for crafting stable, nourishing products. Everyone will leave with two items demonstrated during class, one salve or balm and one lotion or cream. Please note that making herb-infused oils is not included, so anyone who did not attend the first class should arrive with prior knowledge of herb-infused oil preparation.

Experience a behind-the-scenes tour of the coral farming greenhouse at Reef Systems Coral Farm in New Albany, Ohio. After the tour, the day can continue with an optional group lunch at Dos Hermanos, followed by optional visits to Matt’s Corals, Rivers to Reef, and Fins2Fur. The trip is noted as about a three and a half hour drive from Louisville, Kentucky. The event welcomes families. Ohio Vintage Fest returns to Columbus with a two-day marketplace of vintage finds in Kasich Hall at the Ohio Expo Center. General Admission is $5 and can be purchased online or at the door for either day, and tickets must be used on the day selected. A two-day General Admission option is available online for $8 through Humantix. Early Bird entry offers earlier access on Saturday only and is $10 in advance or $15 at the door. No prior experience is needed. Extra drums and other percussion instruments will be available, and participants can choose to drum, dance, sing, or simply enjoy the collective rhythm. The atmosphere is relaxed, family friendly, and focused on shared energy, healing, and joy. Expect an inclusive blend of drumming, dancing, singing, prayerful moments, and restorative vibrations. Attendees are encouraged to bring drums, singing bowls, shakers, rattles, or any instrument that adds to the groove. Parking is available. Grandview Avenue transforms into an open-street market and community celebration produced by the Columbus Young Professionals (CYP) Club. A half-mile stretch from 1st to 5th becomes a pedestrian corridor that connects Grandview Heights, Columbus, and the greater Central Ohio community. This free, family-friendly experience features more than 200 local vendors, makers, artists, nonprofits, and food trucks, along with live music, hands-on art, and activities for all ages. New for 2026, the Community Courtyard at Grandview Center offers themed experiences including Chalk the Courtyard, a classic car showcase, a Columbus sports pavilion, and a pet expo with a pop-up dog park. Attendees can browse handcrafted goods, discover neighborhood shops, and enjoy local flavors at Grandview Avenue restaurants while building community connections. Additional highlights include a charity beer garden that supports local nonprofits and community initiatives, entertainment throughout the event footprint, outdoor dining, public art, family activities, and opportunities for engagement. The event is produced by the CYP Club with support from the City of Grandview Heights, the City of Columbus, local businesses, sponsors, and a wide network of participating vendors and volunteers. Wandering Quills Bookshop returns to Grandview Hop this year for a short run with only a small number of appearances. Those nearby who have been waiting to visit will have a brief window to stop by before it wraps up.

The band began in Athens, Ohio when childhood friends Meier and Westfall teamed up, and their 2016 self-titled debut drew hundreds of millions of streams and earned a gold single. The 5th annual Sloane Swanton Research Run features a 5K run or walk for all levels, along with a lighthearted kids fun run of about 100 meters. A virtual 5K option is also available for anyone who cannot attend in person but still wants to support research into pediatric chordoma. The event honors Sloane and her journey after a 2021 diagnosis of pediatric clival chordoma, a one in a million brain tumor with no established treatment protocol, especially for children. Her treatment has included two brain surgeries and three rounds of chemotherapy, and she was placed on a ventilator. The run shares Sloane’s story and encourages support for research on this rare disease.

The Columbus Toy & Game Show returns to the Ohio Expo Center’s Lausche Building as one of Ohio’s longest-running gatherings for toys, video games, trading card games, and collectibles. Browse more than 400 vendor tables offering a wide range of items for every kind of collector. Activities include arcade machines set to free play, face painting, and appearances by the Columbus Ghostbusters and the Rebel Legion. Concessions will be available from Schmidt’s Sausage Haus. The event welcomes collectors of all ages and provides family-friendly fun. Iron Pony Motorsports in Columbus hosts the ninth edition of this ride-in celebration of custom and classic motorcycles, welcoming bikes of every era, make, and style. Admission is free for spectators and registration applies only to exhibitors, with proceeds benefiting local charitable organizations and non-profit motorcycle events. The show puts the spotlight on builders and the people behind the machines, with participation from custom shops and riding organizations. New features include a loudest pipes contest, an expanded audio competition, and slow drags with additional riding challenges presented by the Forgotten Ones LEMC. As part of the Reasons To Ride Championship Bike Show Series, this event is a qualifier for championship shows that traditionally include Ohio Bike Week and other major regional rallies. Most entries are expected to be ridden in, and all motorcycles must be operational and safe for the road. Judging blends attendee voting with weighted judges’ scores, with some segments fully judged and a separate People’s Choice. Awards include trophies and placards, and Best of Show along with top class winners may advance to the series championships. Classes cover a wide range of builds, including vintage and modern stock and customs, radical styles such as baggers and choppers, café racers, touring and performance machines, adventure and off-road models, trikes, military and patriotic tributes, vintage restorations, and a dedicated custom paint category that can be entered alone or as an additional classification at a reduced add-on fee. A minimum of three entries is required for any class to award Best of Class, and organizers may combine or add classes as needed. Exhibitors who register in advance receive a free event T-shirt, with shirts available at registration for exhibitors at a discounted $15 and a limited number offered for $20. Hot Club jazz manouche takes center stage as Tony Hagood's Quartet du Hot Club Nouveau performs a set shaped by Parisian swing and modern interpretations. Violinist Arkadiy Gips, whose sound nods to Stéphane Grappelli, trained at a conservatory in Kyiv and has toured internationally with Madonna. Tony Hagood, a mainstay of the Central Ohio jazz community as a performer, educator, business owner, and concert curator, guides the ensemble with melody, harmony, and groove. Guitarist Tom evokes the Django Reinhardt tradition with driving rhythm and expressive touches, while bassist Bradley Mellen contributes versatility, feel, and keen musical instinct. The program blends familiar tunes with new arrangements prepared specifically for St Paul Lutheran Church. The concert is planned for the Shelter House, so attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. If the weather is poor, the music will move to the Fellowship Hall. A Schmidt's food truck will be on site before the performance.

Curtain Players is holding open auditions for Twelfth Night. Roles are not pre-cast and, unless a role specifies otherwise, consideration is open to all without regard to race or ethnicity. Casting is decided by the director with input from a committee that includes at least one theatre board member, a general member of the organization, and additional participants selected by the director. Auditions will include two distinct monologues from early modern works, such as Shakespeare or his contemporaries, with a combined speaking time of no more than two minutes, and at least one selection should be in verse. Cold readings from the script are also part of the process. Performers with musical ability, especially those who play an instrument, may substitute 16 bars of a song for one monologue.
