Community Dog Walking at the Franklin County Dog Shelter & Adoption Center invites the public to help give shelter dogs fresh air and one on one time outside the kennel. The shelter routinely cares for 200 to 300 dogs, and support from neighbors makes a meaningful difference. No pre registration is required, newcomers are welcome, and drop in volunteers are encouraged. You can RSVP if you would like updates and reminders. This is an outdoor, weather dependent activity, and any changes due to inclement weather will be shared on the event page with as much notice as possible. Upon arrival, head to the large fully fenced walking yard at the back of the building, enter through the gate, and check in at the registration table. The yard is on the right as you enter the driveway and is enclosed with black wrought iron fencing. Shelter staff will help match you with an appropriate dog and will provide waste bags, treats, and harness leads, so please leave personal leashes and collars at home. Wear comfortable, sturdy shoes and weather appropriate clothing. Bring a camera to capture photos of adoptable dogs and use the hashtag #FCDSAdoptables when sharing. This is a family friendly activity, but primary dog walkers must be 18 or older. If you become interested in fostering or adopting, staff can guide you through next steps. This activity is for shelter dogs only, so personal pets should remain at home unless you are attending a meet and greet for a potential adoption. Donations of dog treats are especially appreciated.

General admission is free every Sunday, made possible by support from Art Bridges Foundation’s Access for All and donors to the Free for the Future Campaign. The Tuned Up Homestead is presenting a cozy neighborhood gathering in the Sharon Heights area of Clintonville in Columbus, featuring an intimate house show format. The lineup includes Kevin Schlereth, a traveling singer and songwriter whose work explores life and faith, spoken word from Chris Bernstorf that mingles laughter with heartfelt moments, a high energy pop punk set from Visitor Pass, and original songs by Westerville artist Jesse Current. Admission is free, and optional contributions will be collected to support the performers with travel and other costs. Light refreshments will be available. Fine Business, the duo of Angela Opell and John Wetzel, performs a free set rooted in American traditions. Their vocals weave with clarinet and guitar, spanning country classics, folk rock, and blues for a relaxed musical experience. All wines are half price.

Celebrate all things collectible at a weekly card show dedicated to Pokemon, trading card games, and sports cards at Counterbalance Brewing Company. Browse a rotating selection of tables featuring TCG and sports cards, with free prizes and occasional special activities. There is no admission charge, and the brewery offers food and drinks. A new Dunkin' is marking its grand opening with coffee, giveaways, and a community partnership benefiting Columbus Humane. The first 100 people lined up outside the restaurant, not in the drive thru, will earn one free medium hot or iced coffee each day for 100 days. Participation requires the Dunkin' app and a Dunkin' Perks account, and the offer is valid only at this location. Columbus Humane will be on site with adoptable animals to meet. A prize wheel will give attendees chances to win Dunkin' gear, limited edition merchandise, gift cards, and more. Photos with Sprinkles, the Dunkin' mascot, add to the festivities. The celebration also features a ribbon cutting and a donation presentation to Columbus Humane.
