    Volunteer Day – October 2nd, 2026

3483 McCament Rd, Walhonding · verified Sep 27
    Free

Inspired by the belief that even the smallest act of service matters, Camp because I said I would is organizing a Volunteer Day centered on showing up, pitching in, and tackling a full slate of projects, even when the work is tough or the weather is less than perfect. Expect meaningful camp upkeep that supports a place where grieving families can heal and caregivers can rest. Projects may include clearing trails, repairing benches, tidying the pond area, and organizing supplies, with every task helping the grounds better serve those who need them most. Check in at Parking Lot #1 Grand Hall. Wear sturdy, protective footwear such as boots and dress for the weather. All who want to help are welcome, whether arriving with friends or family or on their own. Participants are asked to register in advance using the ticketing form so organizers can plan tasks and materials, and so the volunteer waiver is completed ahead of time, allowing more time for meaningful work on site.
