Superelectric Pinball Parlor hosts the 21st season of Cleveland’s Belles & Chimes, a women-centered pinball league that welcomes cis, trans, and nonbinary players who are comfortable in that environment. Each league night features four games, and on each game a different player selects the machine and takes the first turn. Points use either 5-3-2-1 or 5-3-1 scoring, and only the best five weeks count so there is one drop week. Anyone who participates in at least four of the six weeks qualifies for finals across multiple divisions with more prizes and trophies. Beachland Tavern hosts Nashville based soul artist Jed Harrelson, who blends soul, rock and R&B with an emphasis on connection. In the past three years he has independently released 15 songs and is currently developing a debut project, recording everything in house with his brother Hank as audio engineer. Raised in Texarkana, Arkansas, he refined his craft in Fayetteville and the Northwest Arkansas scene before moving to Nashville in January 2020. He now tours the country with his band in a gold van called The Loaf, sharing music that aims for both a euphoric and familiar feel.

At The Treelawn, the Chris Hovan Organic Trio channels the renewed wave of Hammond organ artistry, rekindling the classic organ combo feel with an emphasis on swing and deep-pocket funk. The set ranges from contemporary pieces to cornerstone jazz repertoire, touching on music associated with Dr. Lonnie Smith, Wes Montgomery, Peter Bernstein, David Sanborn, Pat Metheny, and more. Led by Chris Hovan, the group currently includes Columbus organist Jon Eshelman and Cleveland guitarist Tim Mirth. Hovan has long been active across Northeast Ohio stages, collaborating with artists including Rich Holsworth, Josh Smith, Francois Roland, Larry Ross, Jackie Warren, Jeremy Poparad, Bobby Selvaggio, Mark Russo, the DANJO Jazz Orchestra, Just Jazz, and the Jazz Shepherds, and he has appeared with national figures such as Tony Monaco, Arturo OFarrill, Brian Lynch, Alex Harding, and James Carter. His ensembles have performed at The Bop Stop, Blu Jazz, The Treelawn, Cliff Bells, and Con Alma, and he also appears as a percussionist with Bill McRae, the horn-driven group Funkology, and the Doobie Brothers tribute band China Grove. Eshelman studied with Stanley Cowell at William Patterson University and keeps a busy schedule in Columbus with Pete Mills, James Gaiters, and Reggie Jackson. He has worked extensively with Kent guitarist Bob Niederriter for nearly a decade, recently released his debut piano trio album Too Many Things Going On All at Once Blues with George DeLancey and Zach Compston, and also appears with Pete Mills on the release For the Record. Mirth, a Cleveland-based guitarist and composer, draws on classical and jazz training with mentors including Steve Adelson, Steve Aron, Jack Schantz, Rodney Jones, Peter Mazza, Bob Fraser, and Chris Crocco. His performances span the Eastern United States and Europe with groups such as Night Terrors, Stellar Regions, Red Side Visible, and his own trio, and he has contributed to more than ten recordings.

Marc Maron appears with the stand-up that has shaped a body of work spanning HBO, Netflix, and Epix. His newest special, MARC MARON: PANICKED, made its HBO debut in August 2025. Before that, FROM BLEAK TO DARK premiered on HBO in 2023 and received a nomination from the Writers Guild of America. Earlier specials include END TIMES FUN on Netflix, which earned a 2021 Critics Choice nomination, along with MARC MARON: TOO REAL, MORE LATER on Epix, and THINKY PAIN.

feeble little horse brings the bitknot tour to Grog Shop with Snuggle. The band marks the release of its third full-length album, bitknot, created by Sebastian Kinsler, Lydia Slocum, and Jake Kelley and written, arranged, produced, and recorded across their homes in Pittsburgh. The record explores the tension between human nature and a culture of convenience and leans toward connection and interdependence rather than materialist self-sufficiency. Its artwork nods to vintage core memory grids that stored data as 0s and 1s, a metaphor for knotting together shared details and memories. The set blends buoyant arrangements and introspective vocals with catchy melodies, dense noise, bursts of synths and samples, guitar-led songwriting, and precise drums. Open to all ages. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 on the day of the show, with a $3 charge at entry for guests under 21.

Pitch in for a meaningful volunteer opportunity with the informal Casserole Crew, which prepares and bakes casseroles for a meal served by the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless. Beginner-friendly flamenco training at the Murphy Irish Arts Center welcomes ages 14 and up and features two complementary classes. Technique Fundamentals builds core skills with a focus on the slow tientos style to develop movement quality, along with tangos marking patterns and traveling steps. Beginner Repertory explores the traditional choreography of Sevillanas by breaking down its structure and offering approaches to personalize the form. It serves as an entry point to Spanish and flamenco dance and suits newcomers as well as those revisiting Sevillanas to deepen their practice. Instruction is led by Marie Carr, whose background includes classical ballet and modern dance training at the School of Cleveland Ballet and Kent State University. Her milestones include an NPR Tiny Desk performance viewed more than 2.5 million times, representing Japan at the Tokyo Summer Olympics in 2021, the Japanese Academy’s 2024 award for Best Music Score for the animated film Blue Giant, and a Grammy earned through collaboration with Stanley Clarke. Her artistry has drawn praise from publications such as The New Yorker. Expect tight trio interplay and dynamic new music.

At Playhouse Square, Outlander in Concert brings the series to the stage in an officially licensed production developed with showrunner Matthew B. Roberts and Emmy Award-winning composer Bear McCreary. As the television phenomenon approaches its 2026 finale, an orchestra performs McCreary’s score live while scenes from the series appear on a large screen. Earlier releases set the stage for this wide ranging style, and this chapter leans into bold ideas with a gentle touch. The album’s namesake is their maternal grandfather, affectionately called Papa, a retired engineer involved in manufacturing the first Fairchild semiconductors and an avid sailor. A photograph from one of his trips to Asia, where he stands in worn jorts looking toward the horizon beside a boat named Sŵn y Mr after the Welsh translation of Sound of the Sea, sparked the concept. The music aims for open waters rather than staying landlocked, reaching for freedom and expression in his spirit. This show is all ages. Empowering Epilepsy presents the Empower Your Life Conference, an educational program where participants hear from top epilepsy specialists about ways to live well with seizures. Attendees learn proactive strategies that may help reduce seizures, tips for providing clearer seizure information to a doctor, and practical steps for navigating life with epilepsy, with the goal of improving quality of life for individuals and their loved ones. In-person attendance is $25 per person, which covers breakfast and lunch, and virtual attendance is $12.50 per person to cover video costs. Pilgrimage of the Soul with Noy Chounramany explores Theosophical perspectives on the soul’s journey through many lives and the esoteric laws believed to support a divine purpose. The talk covers karma, reincarnation, spiritual evolution, and the divine plan, offering a clear overview of core Theosophical ideas. Part of the Theosophy Vibes series, this program looks inside the Theosophical Society, founded in 1875, which helped bring esotericism, occultism, and Eastern religious thought to wider audiences in the West and has influenced many spiritual figures, organizations, and movements. Noy Chounramany, a Theosophist, Co-Freemason, and Rosicrucian, is an author and lecturer on Theosophy, Freemasonry, comparative religion, spirituality, and esotericism. Attendance is free, and voluntary donations are appreciated but not required.

These group walks follow a regular monthly schedule, with adjustments when a holiday conflicts. Please arrive promptly so the walk can begin shortly after the meetup time. If you are running late or need directions, contact Bernadette at 440-476-5131. She plans to attend each walk unless something unexpected arises. Walks take place in most weather and pause only for severe conditions like a developing snowstorm, heavy rain, or thunder and lightning. Trails can be muddy or challenging, so wear sturdy footwear and bring water and snacks for both people and dogs. For everyone’s safety, handlers of reactive dogs should bring appropriate training tools and use a red indicator such as a leash, bandana, or bow to signal that extra space is needed.
