Participants will take a 2.4 mile moderate hike through the Cleveland Metroparks, with unhurried pauses that invite reflection and a spiritual perspective on movement and the natural world. This summer outing highlights the area’s scenery and offers time to appreciate the city’s natural beauty. Admission is free, and RSVPs are encouraged.

A weekly board game meetup at North Coast Games is free to attend. Snacks and drinks are available, and the gaming area offers plenty of space at approximately 4,000 square feet. Turnout is typically strong, with multiple games running, and the event is cross-posted in at least nine places, so attendance may be higher than signups suggest. Shorter games tend to start first, then longer ones as more participants arrive, and sessions often continue beyond the posted walk-in hours. Attendees are welcome to bring their own games. Memberships are available for around-the-clock access to the gaming area along with substantial discounts on merchandise. RSVPs are requested to help with planning.

A community Vinyasa yoga class open to all experience levels and offered on a donation basis. Please bring a mat or towel and meet on the grass in front of the lodge. Check for updates on weather or possible cancellations before heading out.

At Eleanor B. Garfield Park, the Mentor Farmers Market brings together growers, bakers, and makers in an open-air setting beneath century-old trees. Browse just-harvested fruits and vegetables, pies, plant starts, honey, specialty baked treats, and other farm-related goods. This season also features art and craft vendors offering a variety of handmade items, along with on-site vendor demonstrations, food, and live music that add to the welcoming community feel. The 2026 market is presented by Cleveland Clinic and supported by Canterbury House Direct Primary Care, KIA Ken Ganley of Mentor, Medical Mutual, Mimi Vanderhaven, Mutsko Insurance Services, Pella Windows, Renewal by Andersen, and Tour Lake County.

Now in its eleventh year, Roar by the Shore's Cruise In brings a wide range of show vehicles to Osborne Park in Willoughby, with participants traveling from around Ohio and other states. The event features a DJ, dash plaques, goodie bags, awards, a 50/50, a Chinese auction, vendors, and other attractions. Vehicle entry is 10 dollars, and admission for spectators is free. Pre-registration is not available. A registration form appears on the back of event flyers for anyone who wants to complete it in advance to help speed check-in, and blank forms will be available at the registration table. Proceeds support veterans through a donation to the Greater Cleveland Fisher House. Founded in 2016 by a team from Mentor-on-the-Lake with help from friends and family, the show began as a Labor Day car event to raise funds for veterans. It is not city operated and runs with the cooperation and support of the City of Willoughby. The event has grown each year and is now hosted at Osborne Park by the same organizing team.
