At The POP! Shop, a special Magic: The Gathering Commander Party themed around The Hobbit offers a relaxed way to put favorite Commander decks to the test with a playful, thematic twist. Enjoy social games featuring dice rolling and table politics in a friendly, casual setting. Whether local to Sandusky or visiting from across the bay in Port Clinton, participants can settle in for an afternoon of Commander with a Hobbit-inspired vibe.

Local historian Mike Gilbert leads a roundtable series across six Saturdays in September and October, exploring moments from both local and national history. This session centers on women who shaped the American Revolution, highlighting figures that include Indigenous diplomats, enslaved people, privateers, spies, and patriots on the front lines. Their stories point to a more layered and powerful period of change. Pre-recorded virtual options are available for those who cannot attend in person. The cost is $5 per session, or $25 for all six. Advance registration and payment are required for both in-person and virtual participation, and cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted. Jim Ford Classic Night #2 packs a full slate of sprint car action, supported by FriendShip Kitchen and All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads. The program showcases All Star Circuit of Champions 410 sprint cars along with 305 sprints. Pit access opens first, followed by general admission, then hot laps set the stage for racing. General admission is $30 for adults, $25 for seniors, and $20 for students. Children 10 and under get in free. Pit passes are $40. Online ticketing is available.

An acoustic cover artist performs a wide-ranging set of songs from the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, and beyond. The playlist spans multiple decades and is presented in a stripped-back acoustic style.

Afterward, the Roper Investigation sends participants to eight downtown stops to track down a missing Mrs. Roper. Follow the clues by scanning QR codes and snapping a themed photo at each location to unlock the path to the finale. The journey concludes at the hidden Red Moon Speakeasy, where the mystery is resolved and the celebration continues with friends.

The Skittle Bots bring a full evening celebrating the 90s to Barrel House Saloon, keeping the focus on that decade from start to finish.

This Wings Over Lake Erie fall birding series stop highlights the seasonal migration along the Lake Erie shoreline and across Erie County. Participants will explore a variety of parks and local birding hotspots in search of migratory species. All experience levels are welcome. A limited number of loaner binoculars will be available on a first come, first served basis. The gathering point is the Community Foundation Preserve at Eagle Point.

Settle into a calming vibrational sound bath with John, who cultivates a soothing environment to help restore energy and support meridian alignment. Blankets, a mat, and a bolster will be provided, and attendees are welcome to bring their own. The session takes place at YOUnique Wellness Center.
