Armies On Parade is a yearly showcase at The Eldritch Bazaar where local hobbyists display miniature projects, original sculpts, dioramas and fresh paintwork. Setup takes place before voting, and public voting runs from opening to closing during the event. Local artists are welcome to enter, and anyone can vote. Entry is $20 for adults and $10 for those 17 and under. Prizes are determined by participation, and all artists receive special discounts that are valid throughout the weekend, with some exclusions under MAPP policies. Each participant is provided a 1 foot by 1 foot area for their minis, and requests for additional space will be accommodated when possible. Entries are handled through the provided Google form.

A collaborative clinic at Shenanigans Stables in Carrollton, Ohio brings together movement, brain science, and connection to help horses and riders progress with clarity and confidence. Jec Aristotle Ballou, an author and clinician known for equine fitness and performance, leads in-hand and under-saddle sessions that target posture and balance, strength development, straightness and coordination, ground pole work, and practical application in the saddle. Riders work in a mix of semi-private and larger group formats and receive strategies tailored to their individual horses, including solutions for stiffness, heaviness, or crookedness. Each morning begins with a concise, interactive segment from Jenn Currie, creator of Brain-Centered Horsemanship, exploring how the equine brain learns movement. Topics include keeping horses out of survival mode, understanding why certain tasks feel easier or harder, using patterns and predictability to build confidence, and supporting the horse mentally while learning new skills. This foundation helps set up a calm and connected training day. Wendy Shaffer, a Masterson Method Certified Practitioner and body language specialist, adds focused guidance on reading subtle signs in posture and expression, recognizing how tension appears in motion, and applying simple techniques that encourage relaxation. Throughout the clinic she helps riders interpret what their horses communicate and supports their comfort as the work progresses. Participants gain a complete picture of how the horse moves, why it moves that way, and what promotes better movement both physically and mentally. Riders are $550 for the weekend. Auditors are $65 per day or $100 for the weekend. Stalls are available through the host facility. Only 12 rider spots are available.

Saturday Social is an easygoing, café-style gathering for thoughtful faith conversations in a calm, inviting setting. It offers unhurried space to slow down, connect with others, and reflect together. Participants may choose to share, listen, or simply be present, with a focus on nurturing genuine community.

Radio controlled aviation takes center stage as the Mahoning County Model Aircraft Club presents a fun fly, an exhibition, and a swap meet at Shaker Woods Field in Columbiana. Freyshof opens its pantry to the community, offering a small bag of groceries to those experiencing food insecurity. Quantities are limited at the moment, with hopes to expand what is available over time. If arriving later is unavoidable, arrangements may be possible with advance notice.

The annual Know How Car Show highlights a community car showcase while supporting Caring Hands in East Palestine. To keep the entrance area open for food trucks and vendors, the show lot will not open before the posted gate opening and early entry is not allowed. Parking spaces cannot be held in advance, and groups who want to park together should arrive at the same time. Registration costs $10, with proceeds directed to Caring Hands in East Palestine.

At Skydive Rick's, the Instructor-Assisted Deployment First Jump Course introduces beginners to solo skydiving. IAD uses a USPA licensed instructor to start parachute deployment as the student exits the aircraft. After approximately 4 to 6 hours of ground instruction, first-time jumpers, with instructor assistance, climb out and exit on their own, and the canopy opens right away at about 3,500 feet. Students then fly the parachute to the landing area with radio guidance. This course is the first step toward earning a skydiving license.

Deaf, Deaf-Blind, and Hard of Hearing community members can get help with reading mail, navigating Social Security concerns, addressing medical needs, and locating resources to tackle current challenges. A Community Outreach and Education Specialist will be on site during the posted window to meet on a walk-in basis and assist with resolving issues.
