Events in El Reno today

City Manager Jeff Deckard will host a casual coffee conversation at Mabel C Fry Public Library, sharing updates on Yukon city news, ongoing projects, and other topics. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions and ideas for the discussion. Coffee will be provided.

A complimentary community luncheon and tour at Bethany Children's Health Center offers a chance to meet the CEO and staff, share a meal, and hear a short program about the organization’s mission, workplace culture, and services. Guided visits of the hospital are available both before and after the program. Attendance is limited to 55 participants, and registration will remain open until all seats have been reserved. Friends and family are welcome.

This monthly gathering provides support through peer connections, learning opportunities, and a welcoming community for individuals and families affected by Parkinson's disease. It takes place on the second Wednesday of each month, creating space to share experiences and access helpful information.

Knight’s Nook hosts a free, book-themed trivia night presented in partnership with Yukon’s Mabel C. Fry Library. Librarian Shawna Deeds will guide three rounds of trivia featuring categories that include Books to Movies, Route 66, and American History in recognition of America’s 250th anniversary. Registration is available and helps the library gather data to support future events.

The annual Stampede Car Show arrives at Mustang Town Center with participant judging for both the Open show and the Mustang show. Enthusiasts can explore a wide field of vehicles across 36 Open classes and 36 Mustang classes. Awards recognize first, second, and third place in each class, and city dignitaries select four Best of Show winners in each division for a total of eight top honors. The day features music from a DJ, door prizes, and a 50/50 pot. Online registration offers a five dollar discount.

Returning to the event, the performers will be set up among the Chuckwagons with a program of traditional songs and tunes drawn from bygone days and the open prairie.

Coffee with Veterans is a relaxed gathering where active military personnel and veterans can connect, share stories, and enjoy fellowship over free coffee. Operator Mark helps host the conversation and creates a welcoming space for meaningful connections.

Aging Services, Inc. provides a community support group at the Active Adult Center for caregivers and older adults raising children, including grandparents raising grandchildren. It offers a welcoming place to connect with others, share experiences and questions, and receive peer support. Coffee is provided.
