Decks are built using a point system that assigns costs to powerful cards while most cards cost nothing, and everyone builds to the same cap for a more level playing field. Organizers choose the cap for each event... 100 points is common, but it can be raised to 200, lowered to 50, or even set to zero. Genesys welcomes all kinds of Duelists, from newcomers and those who want a simpler experience, to players eager to make a favorite strategy more competitive, deck builders who love a challenge, and anyone looking for a change of pace. Many Duelists have already explored the format, including Rivalry of Warlords Decks used during World Championship Qualifier play that followed Genesys rules.
